Yes it changes, other people think Chopper is a pet, we know he isn't a pet. Oda making other people thinking what WB was has no relevance to what he actually is.
If WB really was a Rocks pirate, they probably wouldn't lose anyways, people thinking WB-BM-Kaido were Xebec's real crew are wrong, they were like partners. But Aokiji isn't a partner, he is an underling that follow orders as he goes to kidnap Pudding and tries to stop Koby escaping, WB-BM-Kaido probably weren't following Xebec's orders as we see from their behaviours.

2. You still haven't answered my question why didn't they massacre them.
3. Sengoku and Garp chased them all the time and has fought them multiple times with intention to Kill.
4. The only people to defeat an Admiral is Xebec and Akainu. Your yapping while rookies and no ACoC clowns ring out BM and beat Kaido.
5. Roger literally has interacted with both which is why Roger said bring Garp pr Sengoku to get a good fight. WB mentions Sengoku and Garp too.

2 - Because nobody massacres nobody in Oda's story unless he wants it. Until today nobody massacred an Admiral either but today Oda decided to feed an Admiral for the same of Pirate's hype.
3 - Those moments are far more rare than what you think. Same as >Yonkos constantly engaged in fights with each other and then we find out they haven't seen each other in decades...
4 - Akainu barely pulled through as a winner, lol while this implies Xebec ate an Admiral for breakfast. Despite all the bad showing BM had, it wasn't rookies and no aCOC clowns who defeated her, it was a bomb. Kaido ran a gauntlet that no other will ever run, he is clean.
