Zoro isnt in this reference of Kaido he just meant all samurai in wano
You're saying you have to physically be in Wano to be a samurai?

So isn't Zoro being physically in Wano considered him being a samurai

Is there any evidence that zoro is related by blood to wano and shimotsuki? zoro has a full name and surname and is not shimotsuki, I prefer that zoro is not related to wano
But Neko and Ini don't have blood ties to Wano but they are samurai

I agree with you. Oda has already given the traditionnal legendary lineage to Luffy and to Sanji, a trope that is frankly overused in mangas, anf I would prefer for Zoro to not come from Wano or have a great warrior or hero ancestor.

Let's go through the criteria for Samurai

Neko and Inu are NOT from Wano but are Samurai

Neko and Inu are samurai because they were taught the ways of bushido

Zoro is NOT from Wano

Zoro was taught the ways of Bushido
Nope they lived in Wano for there childhood and learned there swordsmanship there Zoro is not a samurai like them
Samurai is a term used for the swordsman in the wano country Neko and Inu were adopted into the country

Zoros teacher was not a samurai he was prob just born there and Shimotsuki was a blacksmith not a samurai they estabilished there own dojo there that doesnt make them a samurai Kaido meant
All samurai are swordsman but not all swordsman are samurai

Zoro is a swordsman not a samurai

You saying two different things

You're saying Neko and Inu are samurai because they were taught Bushido

Then you're saying Zoro master is not samurai even though he was taught bushido because he wasn't born in Wano

Like be clear here. Is samurai a Nationality thing or is it a Fighting regiment thing?

The doctrine of wano is not overall spreaded its in wano
the bushido the way of sword Zoro learned is not entirely pure samurai style the doctrine can overall be teached that doesnt make everyone around the world a samurai like in wano

Neko and Inu were adopted and raised in wano by Wano samurai

Zoros master is 51 years old his father left wano 55 years ago and he wasnt a samurai he was a blacksmith so his son who grew up in the east blue didnt and couldnt teach Zoro the same style as a real native wano samurai could do

Being related to ryuma or not either way he aint soloing kaido like oden was able to
:kayneshrug:

Also jzs being stronger than vets doesn't automatically mean their able to solo yonko commanders. Especially with both their portrayals with drake
Luffy surpassing 1yc level didn't automatically mean they can solo yonko

  1. Luffy isn't soloing kaido
  2. Zoro more likely than not aint soloing king
  3. Franky wouldn't have been able to solo drake or even who's who if they're comparable
Them fighting the calamities is definitely more likely than fighting the tobiroppo at least

Wrong. Kozaburo was a samurai. According to Oda.
Yeah but not a pure samurai everyone in wano can use a sword
also if Kozaburo would teach Zoro the way of sword even it wouldnt make Zoro a real samurai but he didnt and his son wasnt really a samurai too growing up in another country without the enviroment is also a minus but Zoro just because he learned in there dojo isnt a samurai like those in the wano country

Stop posting incorrect info. Shimotsuki Kozaburo was a samurai AND a blacksmith. This is from Oda.
You need to brush up on your One Piece knowledge I'm afraid.

Oda: ... the story of Shimotsuki Kozaburo, the samurai who founded Shimotsuki Village...
