Idk it was a "popular" theory before zoro and sanji reunited

Yes
Nothing about the fight really sounds all that interesting imo at least
They both hold swords which is cool i guess but at least king being a woman would make stuff at least a bit more interesting. Maybe we'll even get a tashigi/kuina flash back which would be nice
what is so interesting about zoro cutting up a woman in an all out fight.

Queen is a lot more nasty than Mr.2, the guy is a mad lad, and can kill for fun.
And Queen fighting style is quite different : weapons, DF, Haki, chemical, virus, a tank type and not martial art type like Bon clay etc.

Queen vs Sanji can give us a really different fight from what we are used to and a nice one.
Its More Sanji vs Jabra tbh, Another opponent Sanji outclasses in speed and I guarantee Sanji's gonna control the fight like he did with Jabra. Honestly, Theres always been a possibility Sanji will fight queen, even though there's also evidence for King. One thing that will always be true is the fact that Queen started Sanji's Soba Mask plot line in the first place.

Don't we literally know that the beast pirates are a fighting strength meritocracy?

That's literally stated. You fight a guy above you and take his place if you win.

You do realise NO OTHER CREW in the whole story has EVER presented such a clear outline of how strength and rank work in their crews. No other single crew.

Like you mention who commands what people in the whitebeard pirates and there a number of weird justifications for identifying being second division commander yet he clearly had NO interest in leading anyone yet he was made a commander.

Then in wci mont d'or and perospero were giving smoothie and the formerly demoted snacks orders like they were part of the random fodder.

And yet the beast pirates are clearly the most direct. The ranks are directly implied to be strength oriented and we even see the authority doesn't even matter that much. The tobi roppo clearly don't care much for all stars and yet it's remains a fact that the all stars are above them simply because THEY ARE STRONGER.

Like why introduce a fighting strength based meritocracy for the whole crew when it specifics loy breaks down at the top of the crew.

Again, ONLY THE BEAST PIRATES have this. No other crew has ever placed fighting strength and rank this tightly together than the beast pirates.

Yet The clear rank difference between king and queen, is supposedly the most contentious in the community because it would directly mean king is stronger than queen as per the meritocracy but then Zoro and Sanji exist
The only hierarchy based on strength meritocracy that has been confirmed in the Beasts Pirates is intergroup. A member may become a Headliner, a Headliner may enter the Tobi Roppo, a Tobi Roppo may take an All Star spot. I don't recall any instance in which we were told that the hierarchy applies intragroup to use it in support of King being stronger than Queen, and even if such hierarchy existed, it still doesn't support what you think it does because for it to be the case we'd need to assume that King is in fact stronger (a petitio principii, then); otherwise they could be virtually equal yet found themselves in a preestablished heirarchy (would they both be called King if they are equal yet the intragroup hierarchy existed? Would that leave a Queen spot for Jack and space for a fourth All Star?).

Is King the strongest bar Kaido because of his name? We can assume it, to be fair; I believe it too. Does it mean that the difference betwen King and Queen is as significant as it could be between Katakuri and the other commanders? Now that's up to debate. A 51-49 ratio of victory still makes King stronger than Queen, but the difference is way more significant than a 60-40.
