Weak. Oden was dead, but the things important to him were still there. In the end, Newgate still went to Marineford risking his crew for a single member. People important to Oden, Izo, Ace were all potentially still alive and he made no such risk.

However, they can make excuses about the samurai, because their job is not to fight with the local forces of a country.

WB just believed that Kaido won Oden fair and square so he decided to not go to Wano fearing Koido’s terrible strength but he didn’t know what exactly happened LMAO

What happend was, that Oden gave Dragon Kaido a fatal blow. When base Kaido in the castle could very well stall Oden.

The narrative is, that Kaido is indeed stronger. Hybrid Kaido > base Kaido ~ Oden.

If tomorrow Vergo beats Mihawk that means Big Mom was always equal to Vergo.

Disagree if you mean young Kaido. WB doesn't know how Oden was defeated. He thinks it was a fair battle when we clearly know what happened. We know better that Oden looked superior in their fight.

Comparing this situation with Oden to Thatch is a false equivalence. Toki, the babies all rode on Newgate's ship alongside Oden.

Newgate knew Oden had more to lose compared to Thatch. Remember that Newgate is the same guy who cares about his home island and continues to funnel crew savings towards it. He helped Neptune as a favor to Fishman Island. Yet he won't have the same level of courtesy for his "little brother?"

That relies on the assumption that he didn't about their family's "death" too, if he's getting the news of his death after years then it should include his family's demise by extension too.

I agree that it's imperative of him to show the same helping to Wano like he did FI, but there's a lot more at stake when you're talking about fighting Kaido and his crew here

That's what I meant but to people that would already mean that he made them look like trash. Just look at the reactions when scabbards harmed Kaido.
It's just what I would like to see, I feel like Oda set up the confrontation between the 3 of them with this chapter.
It might not happen, but if it happened, to me it would be a great chapter.

Fair enough, they'd rather discredit the Yonko than acknowledge Luffy has significantly improved, happens a lot in this fandom.

Now we all know WB was pacing back and forth, trying to make up his mind to try and fight Kaido, scolding Ace for even suggesting it, and he realized the risk is too ginormousThey really are Four Emperors. One cant attack the other, thats why theyve been on a deadlock for decades.

Also Zoro won't be in the rooftop next chapter he is literally being block along with Marco. The only two characters that have no one to stop them from getting to the roof is Luffy and Kidd, Law as well with his DF.

Are you sure? I mean it's sort of weird for Zoro to come AFTER Luffy right?

It's a Goku situation. The hero comes AFTER everyone else. Zoro Robin Wiper and Ganfall fought Enel then Luffy came after them.

For Zoro to come after Luffy, it sort of implies Zoro's the big gun in the situation. Like his presence will radically shift the fight between Three supernova and two yonko.

See the framing issue here? If kaido and big mom are whopping Luffy and company, what will Zoro coming afterwards change? Will he come in and immediately lay kaido on his ass Oden style?

Really, if Zoro doesn't reach the roof at the same time or before Luffy, I don't think the story will let him reach the roof at all. It's more likely Zoro just never reaches the roof than him reaching after Luffy since that sort of thing doesn't happen unless you're the MC
