Bruh, he was fighting with Luffy and Jimbei in floors and didn't use RS at all to fight anyone except during time of King, but for stealth mission to save Momo. He doesn't rely it on power, just for stealth missions, it's obvious. Don't be this blind .

Would he have gotten up after Kings attack unmarked as he did if he wasn't wearing the raid suit?

I don't think Vergo was even at veteran level, tbh. Having the upper hand against Sanji isn't that impressive and he only beat Law because of Law's heart, anyway, evidenced by Law one shotting him the moment it became a level playing field. So, really, the only win Vergo earned was against Smoker, who is a pushover to real veterans. Also, didn't Smoker push him to a mid diff or a high diff?

Base Luffy would have destroyed him and Zoro would have one shot him. Vergo was lucky they were busy elsewhere.

This also means that RS Sanji will likely be Sanji's default battle mode from this point on, because if his base is outclassed by someone like Vergo, then his base is hopelessly by a LOT of people.

If Sanji and Jimbei fight comparable opponents then sure, it'll be quite impressive that Jimbei isn't using any weapons but Fishman Karate isn't just some random martial arts, it manipulates water and can affect the fluids inside you. Either way, they'll both probably be impressive in their own ways.

I think it's more of Oda going with Sanji getting stronger as the story progresses, Punk Hazard was some time ago. Sanji was fine after clashing with Daifuku's genie and while the genie isn't necessarily sronger than Vergo, it's pretty powerful. Plus that was just a small clash, we didn't see all that much from them. Sanji withstanding a tail hit isn't that crazy.

The point is that Sanji never intended to use the RS for power/strength. It boosted his stats like durability up but he uses it mainly for rescue mission at the end of the day. That's why Sanji didn't use the RS to escape Black Maria's webs.
