I have sadly yet to start them

There was a story of Darth Vader chasing the Dark Woman during the Jedi Purge is a must read

The artwork is simply gorgeous. The author doesn't overload his panels with exposition, and let his drawings do the talking while being faithful to Vader and the heart of Star Wars. The choreography is really good.

From my perspective, it actually makes them look strong, intimidating, and competent just by their actions. In contrast, Hux is so ridiculous and over the top that he sounds like a character from Space Ball.

I think you will definitively love Darth Plagueis, it's my favorite Star Wars book and it isn't saying few things.

I am also reading Labyrinth of Evil right now and it's very good reading too.

I own Darth Plagueis, several of the Legacy comics, one of Old Republic comics, Darth Revan novel and the Darth Bane trilogy. I also got a kindle as a gift from a firm I worked for and uses it to read Labyrinth of Evil and surely other books soon.
