All throughout Wano they alluded to taking Kaido head. The recent chapters had sccabards say its nkt over till his head is gone. Kaido has been captured before and always escapes and gets back up. Oda literally said a punch not going to finish Kaido

Lately the viz translations doesn't literally translate every word which is a problem since it reduces the accuracy of what have been said and can sometimes change the whole meaning phrases/sentences and sometimes even add stuff that completely changes it
While it's not completely wrong since they want it to be understood by the western audience but accuracy is important too especially if when Oda sometimes trying to send hints through words
