Since when is saying Luffy is stronger than Zoro a dissenting opinion of Zoro? It's not like @Gran D. Master is saying Chopper is stronger or something.

As for my personal thoughts, I think Luffy and Zoro started out neck and neck at the start of the timeskip, with a little nudge towards Luffy. He's widened the gap since, due to all his tough battles, but Zoro will close it, but he'll still be behind Luffy.
It's not. Like I said, saying Luffy > Zoro is fine. I think so too. But there are reasonable questions to be asked about their strengths at the beginning of Post-TS and Den_Den_Mushi was doing just that. There was no need for Gran D. Master to continually post negative things about Zoro afterwards.

If he disagreed, he could've just told that and refrained from posting afterwards. He didn't need to go at Zoro's feat like he did and continually call us out for headcanons. This is the Zoro FC, we are allowed to bring Headcanons here.

Problem is, nobody wants to debate luffy vs zoro here, because we already have at least 10 threads about this subject on the battledome section
just let us wank zoro lol
Thank you. Somebody gets it.

BTW, your avy, you ship Perona and Zoro? Or you have it because it looks good?

I don’t think that saying Sabaody Luffy <= Zoro is insulting Luffy or ‘dickriding’ Zoro. If anything, it’s the scenario that makes the most sense. If we take the premise that Sabaody Zoro <= Sabaody Luffy, these are the facts that naturally follow:
  • Zoro exited the TS as YC3 at best given that Luffy struggled with Cracker and needed 2 rounds of G4 to defeat Doffy
  • Zoro has not had a single challenging fight since the TS
  • Fighting strong opponents is the best way to get stronger - Ray 2k18
  • The sword itself matters less (if at all) than the user’s haki - Mihawk 2k14
  • Zoro will surpass Oden, who was YC1+, by the end of Wano
  • Zoro will get more powerups than Luffy in a single arc
  • Zoro’s growth rate will outstrip Luffy’s for a single arc.
  • I just personally think it makes way more sense to have Sabaody Zoro >= Sabaody Luffy given that he had 6 more months with his trainer and that his trainer was an expert in his combat style.

  • I think @Gran D. Master should be able to express dissenting opinions but should probably do so in a less abrasive way given that this is a FC and some level of so-called dickriding is to be expected... just imo.

@Gran D. Master

I know that you're a Luffy fan first and Zoro second. And you're not the only one. Not everyone in this FC need to have Zoro as his first favourite, some of us here have Zoro as our second or even third favourite. And we're okay with that. And we welcome you in this FC.

Having disagreement and different arguments with fellow members is okay, as that's what tend to happen in a discussion. Having different ways of viewing Zoro is fine too. And saying Luffy is stronger than Zoro isn't a crime either, many of us here believe the same thing too. Even discussing about Zoro's bad moment is allowed, so long as you didn't talk ill of Zoro.

But, you wouldn't come to someone house to call their mother whore and their children retarded, would you? Which is basically what you were doing when you talk ill of Zoro and calling his fan "dickriding" Zoro, etcetera.

This fan club is the place to talk about Zoro (and Mihawk occasionally). And as any other fanclubs, the members are allowed to praise Zoro (and Mihawk) as height as they want. They're allowed to use their headcanons to talk about how strong Zoro is, was, and will be. We all could discuss wether it's about worshiping him or talking about his shortcomings, but do so while not taking ill of the characters and not insulting to the other members.

I still welcome you here, but I humbly ask you to refrain from talking ill of Zoro and his fans any further here.

We, the Zoro fandoms already have many haters out there to deal with, so let's not start an infighting between our own rank. We all should stand together and united as one despite of our differences of views.

The Temple of The Grandmaster Zoro is open for everyone, but remember: "Never talk ill of Zoro."

I think everyone here knows I’m a Mihawk/Shanks fan first and a Zoro fan second, that said, the interactions between the Kuraigana trio never fail to increase my liking of all 3 characters ^^

Tbh I see Mihawk and Perona as more Zoro’s family than the Straw Hats, especially post TS when the Straw Hats have fewer casual interactions with each other and mostly just follow along with Luffy’s anti Yonko campaign.

Perona/Zoro/Mihawk would be a great crew to see just move around. Perona and Mihawk's interactions in the few panel's we've seen of them already cemented the fact that those three were probably incredibly close during the time skip, in my mind.

Yeah this is why to me Perona and Mihawk will always be Zoro’s real family. For all that the straw hats care about each other, we hardly ever see them doing normal things together or having a proper family dynamic. Brook, for example, isn’t really that close to anyone in particular on the crew and feels like the creepy uncle that shows up at family gatherings but nobody knows why. But I digress lol.

I’d love for Oda to draw a cover page or something of Perona, Zoro and Mihawk all taking turns to do chores and cook for each other. Even the story of how Mihawk decided to take up gardening and wear straw hats would be cool, I’m sure Zoro had something to do with that.

Apart from Bink's Sake, I cannot stand Brook. He was a mistake, and if Bonclay's character wasn't so expertly closed (for now) in Impel Down, I'd be rioting for his inclusion over Mr. Skeleton pervert. But the lack of any real friendships in the crew is easily why Part 2 fails with me more times than not. The lack of adventure hurts but seeing the main cast scattered so many times and unable to simply enjoy a chapter of them goofying off without any princesses or unwanted company makes me real nostalgic for the East Blue days.

If we all sent him Cover story requests, we might be able to get something like that :feelsokeman:

Well, Zoro was with the Straw Hats for 45-60 days pre-TS and 30-45 days post-TS whereas he spent 2 years straight with Mihawk and Perona. It has always seemed hilarious how people in OP become friends within couple of hours, so much so that they are willing to die for each other, but that's how it is.

That being said, Zoro/Luffy or Zoro/Chopper are two relationships that are easily more family-like in my opinion, and probably Zoro/Sanji too.
