I don't think you're suppose to take it so literally. Besides, this was after he had just lost Ace, so he's feeling empty right now. It's a very human thing to feel you've lost everything after one loss. The point, however, is that Zoro helped to remind Luffy he's never truly alone.

Out of jokes I really loved zoro in this chapter when everybody went crazy and wanted to go to arabasta/marijois he acted as the voice of the reason you can go there and pick a fight with lots of enemies you also need to use the head vivi is missing yeah but missing doesn't mean she is in mariejois they don't have information where also he was right with she been strong not phisically but she waz able to sneak in crocodile's organization without been detected I don't know to call this character development or what after what happened in PH but man zoro is growing and he is getting as better character time by time
