A lot of Zoro’s major opponents have a dragon motif, with Zoro represented by a tiger. This represents the tiger vs dragon in eastern mythology symbolising heaven (dragon) and earth (tiger).
Zoro attacking the celestial dragon seems random at first but not when you look at it from the mythological perspective. Tora Gari (tiger hunt) was the last attack Zoro used on Mihawk before Sanzen Sekai. He also used Tora Gari on the dragon at PH. That’s why OP magazine ran that article about Zoro potentially slaying an eastern dragon in Wano.
