I don't mind anything as long as it resolves kaido story.
Him leaving wano and retiring to some island or roaming freely doesn't make sense when everything he did till now will be destroyed and he wants to die too.
Not to mention that him being active after wano overshadows future opponents because oda hyped him as strongest.
As long as Oda resolves kaido plot I am fine with whatever path he takes - Zoro, BB or even marines.
Tbh, I want kaido to die. If he dies post wano then he will die by the hand of someone whom Oda wants to hype as possibly next strongest. Could be BB or even Shanks.
In wano, then BM taking control of nerfed defeated Kaido soul (she was there for Luffy with same purpose) or ZkK is what I prefer
I get it, despite not agreeing on the part that it overshadows future opponents, considering Kaido's been fighting a legit gauntlet from the beginning.
But the thing is....and here's something that makes me feel like Oda writes the story like he's just doing some shop checklist:
If Kaido dies now, then I think Zoro's moment of scarring Kaido devalues. I mean, why give someone a permanent scar if they are gonna be dead by the end of the arc anyway?
One could argue that "ZKK" is more hyped than just giving Kaido a scar, which I agree. But, then again, why write that first scene in the first place? Was it just something that Oda HAD to draw because he made some checklist of stuff he wanted to draw at some point without caring so much about being cohesive? Know what I mean?
If giving Kaido a permanent scar is such a big deal, then Kaido should live for his scar to be shown throughout the places he go and it adds to Zoro's notoriety "yo, that swordsman was able to give Kaido a permanent scar! Only a single other person in history was able to do that! So cool!"
If he kills Kaido, I just don't see him getting the credit for it storywise. It's Luffy the one challenging Kaido. So if Zoro kills Kaido, but Luffy gets the credit, then no one will know about the scar and he loses both "feats".
