Kaido is in Wano because he's waiting for something.
If this something happens already (Joy Boy's second coming, Wano opening borders, whatever, that will trigger a war that will engulf the entire world, like WB said), he loses his purpose of staying in Wano.
So him not coming back when it doesn't matter anymore makes perfect sense.
So him just leaving wano giving up decades of what he did in wano makes sense?

Him being alive as WSC over shadows others

Will you drop it if he doesn't ?
Why will I drop op if ZKK doesn't happen? I am not hard core believer of it.

I see that as a possibility

It occurs or doesn't occur - not a big deal for me as it's just a manga for me

Okay oda

So you think kaido will become luffy's slave is unexpected ending?

Depends on what exactly he's planning.
Too bad we dont have a flashback to tell us exactly what his plans and motivations are.
:kayneshrug:

But yeah. If he loses the main thing that keeps him in Wano in the first place, then the strange thing would be Kaido staying there still.

My point is it's obvious that kaido will leave wano.

That's given but then what?

What about kaido future role in one piece?

Oda simply can't make force him out of wano just to go retire somewhere.

Is him just leaving sets things straight? For me, it doesn't.

I get it. I also thinks it feels weird for Kaido to drop the Kanabo and go drink mojitos on some lost island beach somewhere. But the thing is...Kaido WANTS to die because it counts as a "win" to him. Die in glorious battle or whatever. So I also don't like the idea of having ZKK happen in a way that would legit satisfy Kaido.
Rewarding the dude who enslaved an entire country for decades looks dumb.

What would be the options? BB appears? Marines? To be fair, I would prefer the Marines to appear, Ryokugyu in specific for a simple reason: every admiral has their "moment". For Aokiji, it was when he appeared right before water7 and completely rekt Luffy Zoro and Sanji at the same time. Pure menace.
For Kizaru? Sabaody. Another show of pure power and threat. Akainu? Marineford. Fujitora? Dressrosa. Ryokugyu is the only one left to make a "big appearance". That's the only reason I would pick him over the other Admirals to show up now.

BB....I would rather for BB to be in WCI stealing the Road Poneglyph there.

I don't mind anything as long as it resolves kaido story.

Him leaving wano and retiring to some island or roaming freely doesn't make sense when everything he did till now will be destroyed and he wants to die too.

Not to mention that him being active after wano overshadows future opponents because oda hyped him as strongest.

As long as Oda resolves kaido plot I am fine with whatever path he takes - Zoro, BB or even marines.

Tbh, I want kaido to die. If he dies post wano then he will die by the hand of someone whom Oda wants to hype as possibly next strongest. Could be BB or even Shanks.

In wano, then BM taking control of nerfed defeated Kaido soul (she was there for Luffy with same purpose) or ZkK is what I prefer

I get it, despite not agreeing on the part that it overshadows future opponents, considering Kaido's been fighting a legit gauntlet from the beginning.

But the thing is....and here's something that makes me feel like Oda writes the story like he's just doing some shop checklist:
If Kaido dies now, then I think Zoro's moment of scarring Kaido devalues. I mean, why give someone a permanent scar if they are gonna be dead by the end of the arc anyway?
One could argue that "ZKK" is more hyped than just giving Kaido a scar, which I agree. But, then again, why write that first scene in the first place? Was it just something that Oda HAD to draw because he made some checklist of stuff he wanted to draw at some point without caring so much about being cohesive? Know what I mean?

If giving Kaido a permanent scar is such a big deal, then Kaido should live for his scar to be shown throughout the places he go and it adds to Zoro's notoriety "yo, that swordsman was able to give Kaido a permanent scar! Only a single other person in history was able to do that! So cool!"
If he kills Kaido, I just don't see him getting the credit for it storywise. It's Luffy the one challenging Kaido. So if Zoro kills Kaido, but Luffy gets the credit, then no one will know about the scar and he loses both "feats".

Lol Zoro will kill kaido above the flower capital and he will be acknowledge as the new sword god just like ryuma

It simply means there will be stronger opponents than Kaido, well we are pretty much in endgame anyway, so BB, maybe Imu are well stronger than him or will be. Tho endgame doesn't mean the end is near, it could be an entire saga which contains years of content (5-8 years perhaps depending on arc length)

He gets captured. Him wanting to die is too fulfilling to him, he will have to suffer like the rest of the villains, witness their decades of hard work and dreams be crushed, death is an easy way out for Kaido not gonna happen, if it happens it happens much later.
