Welcome to the House of Hope
HELLO FRIENDS.
With the latest chapter ending Egghead arc, we can gather everything and analyze how our boy did.

Losses: Paralyzed by Saturn's hack.

Wins: - the best showing against the Seraphims, with a kickass panel of him not being fazed at all by S-Shark's punch.
- Got into the action blocking Kizaru's lasers with just a base kick in yet another excellent panel.
- Never actually "lost to Kizaru and let Vegapunk die". Vegapunk told him to let him die. And even got ANOTHER great panel facing off against Kizaru alongside his captain.
- Not only blocked an attack, by also countered Venus with an amazing kick to the chin in yet ANOTHER great panel.
- Great display of speed saving Eddison from a Seraphim's laser.

After too damn long (pretty much since Return to Sabaody-Fishmen Island), we have an overall good arc for Sanji where he wasn't the usual hypetool material and was in the thick of the action.

I hereby declare that the "Doom of Sanji Fandom" is over.

From now on, we eating, boys. We have great stuff to look forward too.
- His matchup against one of the Black Beard Pirates and the Pudding plot (we rooting for Lafitte, just warning ya)
- His matchup against an Admiral (I personally root for Aramaki, but I can understand if some will wish for Kizaru since he wasn't "done" during this arc)
- A possible matchup against a Gorosei (we rooting for Mars here. Fuck the worm, @Jackteo )
- And who knows what else Oda has in store for our favorite cook?

Looking forward for the new adventures ahead and what other PU's we gonna see for Black Leg (personally rooting for Black Flames to go with the moniker).
That's it, folks! It's a brand new dawn for us, who had to endure so many years of hypetool arcs and/or underwhelming clashes.
Onigashima was bittersweet, but this here was just sweet, and a mere taste of what's to come.
Peace.

Egghead is the worst OP arc. Sanji has never been as useless as he has been in the last 80 chapters. The only cool moment is the laser one but it is obvious that the exoskeleton is not so strong not even laser are able to pierce it, it just nullifies light-based attacks. Sanji is stealth black after all.

Hopefully Elbaf will be different

Evil Sanji vs Zoro
CoC and Power of Love
Burgess
Kizaru
Red Line destruction, All Blue appears
Saint Mars/Ju Peter
SaNa

This arc really cemented that oda really doesn't care about involving anyone into the plot or even character writing than Sanji at this point, which is kinda funny and sad
Even the arc finale basically concluded with reactions shots vs Sanji actually getting something out of the arc thinking about what happened

It's just a beginning..

Doom 2 is coming up soon :usoprice:

We've lost some people along the way, but the purga was necessary.
We are the chosen ones.
You have no power here.
:cryabit:
The fandom going from " Sanji isn't a fighter anymore, he'll be lucky to crack yc1 tier", to " base Lanji got hit by a top tier and took minimal damage, what a loser amiright?", was so subtle that they haven't even noticed it yet. From character exploration in WCI to character growth in Wano to establishing the most significant relationship with Vegapunk among the crew and clashing with the pinnacle of villainy; Sanji's been at the forefront of this story for years now and there's more to come. Even with the flaws he still stands as the only straw-hat who has been truly treated as a main character, yet some believe all this means zilch because he doesn't get lackluster/off-screened fights against C tier opponents every arc, which he never has anyway.

If you're a Sanji fan who mainly cares about powerscaling then Sanji will get the top tier fights and you'll be satisfied, but if you're invested in him as a character then you'll be content too. Sanji fans have it the best but they'll never know until the series ends and they re-read without all the toxic agenda nonsense.

Oh I think people know besides some real deranged ones

Even if you read in other threads or FCs people resigned their favs are basically cut out from plot relevance and character moments

4th arc back to back he gets the most development oda likes him to write the most is undeniable now and its gonna just increase the more he gonna increase focus on the SHs the more the final arc progresses.

Egghead was an arc that the SHs did the least since Zou even here he got MC treatment with the closing flashback of the most pivotal character of that arc
