So I finally got round to playing Ghost of Tsushima

Generally speaking the game was pretty good 7/10

Graphics were consistently amazing, art style was excellent, the fluidity in combat was nice, the characters and story were top tier. There was a very well written character transformation that was subtle but still fully explained. Actually not just 'explained' but demonstrated through your missions and ability/weapon upgrades.

The world felt a little lonely at times, pretty much everyone is either a Mongol or a peasant crying about something the Mongols did to them. I guess it can't be helped given the story but it stopped being interesting halfway through and started to feel like the world was empty.

A lot of missions played very similarly too, almost all of it basically came down to ''kill all the mongols in this fort, using the exact same methods you did last time''.

My biggest complaint though is that Lethal+ wasn't available to play at the very beginning. I started on Lethal but I was killing everyone in 2 seconds which meant I wasn't able to learn the combat system, so I switched to Hard. However after a couple of upgrades it became almost impossible to die so I started intentionally gimping myself by not upgrading or using certain charms/weapons/techniques because it was skilless. Ended up finishing on Lethal.

Starting over on Lethal+ was amazing because I could finally go all out without feeling bad about using perfect parries or dodges or using things like heavenly strike in duels. This mode should have been made available from the beginning, since it's the only mode that seasoned players are actually able to die in.

I highly recommend it, but I don't think it was the sensational game that everyone seems to pretend it is. Had I been able to start the game in Lethal+ though, I think it could have hit an 8.5 - 9/10.

It's a beautiful artsy game with a good story and awesome combat.

Songs of Conquest
great game already have 200+ hours. Looks like the popularity of this game forced Ubisoft to bring back heroes of might and magic

Apollo Justice: Spirit of Justice
DHURKE THE GOAT! If only Dragon was more like him....

Spirit of Justice is so great, I loved it, the bonus DLC cases for Dual Destinines and Spirit of Justice are so good too!

Ace Attorney Investigation Collection came out yesterday too ofc, we can finally play Investigations 2 in the West and in English! HALLELUJAH!

:beanmean::BigW::steef::finally:

I've been playing Risk of Rain 2, bought it on a whim the other day, the music is GODLY, really deep soulful, electric guitar blues at times in it, even has a song inspired heavily by Purple Rain which I posted in the What Are You Listening to thread:

and I've also been playing the Tiny Tina Assault on Dragon Keep Expansion for Borderlands 2 (the seperate one not the DLC itself), Pirate Warriors 4 as I got the 2nd Character Pass now FINALLY, I got Tomb Raider 1-3 Remastered and Street Fighter 6 Ultimate Edition on deep discounts amongst some other games, so extremely happy right now!

Sadly, I couldn't afford Red Dead Redemption 2 and Hogwarts Legacy (cant even run Hogwarts yet anyway, 16GB Minimum RIP! LOL) but they were reduced IMMENSELY on Steam, absolutely peanuts prices! Ah well, que sera sera, I'll get them by next year at worst, especially with my new PC EVENTUALLY lmao.

Looking to get Ratchet and Clank Rifts Apart or w/e its called but may need to upgrade my PC for that one too and Ghosts of Tsushima now too as its on PC as well! Also need to get Horizon Forbidden West as its on PC now too....

But yeah Risk Of Rain 2 is extremely fun and well worth getting! Deep discount on it atm on Steam too!

Just finished the final case

That case made me cry man.....Ace Attorney always pulls the heartstrings with such fury....I feel your pain, I feel it deeply! (To quote a certain Jojo meme lol)

Its like Godot all over again in way, goats alike ofc.

Dhurke with his slight Date Masamune style look and badass charisma and honour. Such an awesome man. Apollo had such a damn great couple of fathers ofc.

:mrgo::peperain::perocry::parkcry:

I feel Ace Attorney and One Piece hit similar beats in humour, characterisation, dramatic plot twists and reveals and thus tragic backstories and character/story arc conclusions or so.

I'm praying we'll get a new Ace Attorney finally, I need to play The Great Ace Attorney and stop being so lazy too!

Godot and Dhurke the GOATs of their respective games for sure.

Yeah you gotta get on Great Ace Attorney asap, the individual cases don't hit as hard but the overall story is peak

Aye that sounds very promising! I've heard the overall story is better in that game, its slower, more lengthier and such, def more of a slow burn but worth it? I have faith it will be great then given the track record of this series and Ghost Trick too then!

I need to go on an Ace Attorney replay binge then! As well as trying out Investigtions 2 and GAA finally too! I'm gonna be such an emotional wreck after its all over LOLOLOL! (Def a time to cry ofc!)
