What if Oda grew a pair and let his characters being killed instead of resurrecting them in the most bullshit ways ? What would have changed in the plot and in the story ?

here the list of the fake deaths (obviously not counting SH and main cast) it’s only for secondary characters

- Pell killed by atoms

- Bellamy killed by Doffy

- Ingaram killed by Robin

- Bon clay killed by Magellan

- Sabo killed by CD

- Saul killed by Aokiji

- Pekoms killed by Bege in WCI

- Pound killed by Oven

etc

Zero impact. His scenes and character development were of zero interest for most imo

Ingaram was nice. So glad he didn't die. And one less kill on Robin's (probably still too long list)

Their community needed a new leader so plot wise, okay.

Shooting the shit out of a kid on a nutshell in the middle of the sea? Hell yeah man. How dare the fucker cross a CD's way?

L for Kuzan. Didn't he say, defrosting his victims isn't very healthy for them?

- Pekoms killed by Bege in WCI
Pekoms was cool but Oda should've cracked his shell and gored him to increase Dark Piece moments.

- Pound killed by Oven
Should've died. I hope he doesn't pop up at elbaf and hugs Loki or something

Addition:
I hope Bobbin truly died.

Biggest fuck up by Oda was fake killing Kinemon.
He told his story. He has zero plot relevance left. Momo is big now and doesn't need a fake daddy anymore

Too much would change to really know how it’d actually affect the story tbh

Also I think Pedro is alive in some way and we might see a homie version of him with the bmp

Only Sabo would maybe affect the story since Oda would've had to come up with another 2nd in command but the rest of them would be perfectly staying dead:PepeMan:

Thinking about flashback characters that might be alive
  1. Luffy got sabo obviously
  2. Zoro: there’s a shot kuina is alive and I honestly hope she is ngl
  3. Nami: mom’s definitely dead but her biological family might not be. Imo she might have some ties to some royalty
  4. Usopp: he might have ties to Noland but his mom is dead
  5. Sanji: they’re all pretty much alive besides his mom
  6. Chopper: he’s a reindeer
  7. Robin: she’s got saul
  8. Franky: Tom honestly could be alive being used by the wg. Den Tom’s brother is alive. His bio father queen is alive
  9. Brook: yorki or his descendent could potentially be alive.
  10. Jinbe: arlong is alive somewhere

It will shortened the length of the story which is beneficial for Oda himself and for the quality of the show
If Bellamy died we won't have such stalling plot of Luffy vs Bellamy (under Doffy control) etc etc. Nobody really cares if Bellamy dies. It just a waste of panels bringing him back.

Without Sabo existence, Dragon needs to carry most of RA plot and need to show some physical action earlier. So Oda trying to save Dragon only for the very end of series could be the reason Sabo exist and doing most RA plot on behalf of Dragon who will only show up at EOS. In order to do that he also made Sabo very important character that has close relation with Luffy and Ace so that Dragon isn't the only main attraction among RA for readers

Basically aside from Sabo, all other characters are minor characters that their death could be more beneficial for the story and it won't change or impact the story positively if they survive.
Oda introduced 100+ named characters and only kills at best 5 or 6 ( most of them being flashback characters)
It just lengthen the story when most of them keep coming back...

Story wise it wouldn't really change a thing.

It would however benefit the story as to add some of the missing tension. Death retractions like the pound one, cheapen storylines.

None thought Ashura Doji and Izo died because Oda has dropped the ball with them.
