General & Others Which arc felt more dangerous? Whole Cake Island or Wano?

Wedding Cake aside, the Big Mom crew happened to be more threatening and less incompetent than the Beasts Pirates crew by far.

Not really hard task, when the Beast Pirates full with drunkards.

Whole Cake had its moments. And atleast we had excues for BM's poor potrayal.

Idk wtf is happening with Kaido tho....like fucking Kinemon. Seriously....

If the strongest opponent is getting messed by Kinemon....then theres literally nothing to fear. Cause Oda doesnt give a fuck about Power lvls at all.

Definitely Wholecake island, The Strawhats and their allies got humbled so many times in that arc: Big Mom's crew was a lot more competent, even people who should be comparable to kaidos gifters and headliners were getting shit done.The situation was so serious Oda actually Killed off a character for once being Pedro.Its a far cry from the tension we used to get pre timeskip but for post timeskip standards Wholecake definitely has the most sense of danger out of all the arcs we've gotten so far. Hopefully Wano ups the tension a bit

I'm trying to think of some threat and danger we had in Wano so far but I can't think of any.

WCI in every term was much dangerous than Lano the Land of Laido who is living in Loganishima.
WCI had all chances to became best arc after timeskip, if that shitty things after cake explode never happened. First part of arc was easily 10 of 10.

In WCI people at least got worried when Luffy was captured by a Yonko. And prison was hard, not training and having fun.

Before the Thousand Sunny chase lasted a quarter of the arc, even enraged Big Mom was kinda threatening. Oda balanced her goofiness with some solid devastation. Knocking out Judge with utmost ease, blocking Kong Gun with just haki, being able to make anyone who wasn't stupidly brave or strong die via her devil fruit.. Like, again, until Oda made Big Mom blunder 30x times, she wasn't bad.

Not a good character. But her presentation wasn't bad.

You even have Katakuri who Oda spent so much time building up, presenting as a bigger threat to Luffy and to the success of the assassination than Linlin herself. In wano, it's pretty much... The antagonists being dunked on lol.

Whole Cake Island actually felt dangerous at the beggining, with the Seducing Woods with Cracker being shown as an opponent able of easely dealing with G4 Luffy and Brûlée's speech about how the Supernovas failed to do anything against Big Mom, the Enraged Army beating Luffy, the Tea Party with Katakuri's badass introduction, Big Mom and her crew easely beating the Straw Hats, Firetanks and Vinsmokes. But even then there were holes in this with the second part of the fight with Cracker being botched, Luffy and Sanji meeting again too easely, the Firetanks not being suspected by Big Mom at all.

And then after the Tamatebakko explosion everything went out of the window and any sense of real threat and epicness was gone in favour of too heavy plot armor and conveniences.

So far Wano lacks real sense of danger outside of Kaido's one-shot beating of Luffy and his epic speech about the Ancient Weapons and the New Onigashima Project. The raid really lacks any sense of danger so far with it being just like the second half of WCI, sometimes even worse.

Couldn’t have said it better, and I feel it’s only gonna get worse as the next arcs go.
