Whole Cake had its moments. And atleast we had excues for BM's poor potrayal.

Idk wtf is happening with Kaido tho....like fucking Kinemon. Seriously....

If the strongest opponent is getting messed by Kinemon....then theres literally nothing to fear. Cause Oda doesnt give a fuck about Power lvls at all.

Hopefully Wano ups the tension a bit

Lmao we used to call the BMPs incompetent....but the fodders there used to handle their own. The clowns in the Beast Pirates are something entirely else.

Before the Thousand Sunny chase lasted a quarter of the arc, even enraged Big Mom was kinda threatening. Oda balanced her goofiness with some solid devastation. Knocking out Judge with utmost ease, blocking Kong Gun with just haki, being able to make anyone who wasn't stupidly brave or strong die via her devil fruit.. Like, again, until Oda made Big Mom blunder 30x times, she wasn't bad.

Not a good character. But her presentation wasn't bad.

You even have Katakuri who Oda spent so much time building up, presenting as a bigger threat to Luffy and to the success of the assassination than Linlin herself. In wano, it's pretty much... The antagonists being dunked on lol.

And then after the Tamatebakko explosion everything went out of the window and any sense of real threat and epicness was gone in favour of too heavy plot armor and conveniences.

So far Wano lacks real sense of danger outside of Kaido's one-shot beating of Luffy and his epic speech about the Ancient Weapons and the New Onigashima Project. The raid really lacks any sense of danger so far with it being just like the second half of WCI, sometimes even worse.

Couldn’t have said it better, and I feel it’s only gonna get worse as the next arcs go.
