I liked all Akatsuki members - and Kakuzu was quite a powerhouse in Naruto. He was used to hype Hashirama iirc.

Kakuzu was mad weak. He had low tier elemental ninjutsu that a distracted Kakashi could dodge or intercept.

Hidan + Kakuzu couldn’t tag Kakashi working in tandem, and Kakashi could appear from no where to block Kakuzu’s gian jutsu.

the most I’ll give Kakuzu is some cred, if he wears down his opponents he can win. But even Tenten could accidentally destroy his masks in the war arc.

He was and it really makes you regret Kishi’s decision to rush the Pein arc lol. He was going to have Deva Path fight Tsunade, have Pein leave the village and give more breathing time before he was defeated... but his editor told him to wrap it up.
