Why has Oda designed the characters the same unique way?

Why has Kidd been going after Shanks since day 1?

Why do Kidd/Luffy view Shanks so differently?

Why has Oda not allowed Kidd and Shanks to have any direct dialogue?

Who is Kidd going to go after when he returns to Elbaf?

There's more to this, and I've written it in more detail before, but that's the general gist of it.

And Bb is endgame for luffy/imu. His goals are beyond Shanks.

he did make shanks bleed, he managed to hit him on the head during that explosion, but we just dont see it because shanks hair is already red and it's covering it :goyea: , and then every kidd fan woke up

that's just it shanks wouldn't allowed kidd to hit him in the first place and it's not because shanks himself is not strong but he's not built like that to tank on attacks like that especially from either a kidd or law.

Meanwhile your favourite is terrified of old men far past their prime and on the verge of death even. And almost got himself and his entire crew drowned by Law and had to be saved by offscreen BS as per usual. Just like his "fight" with Boa because Oda can't even write Neckbeard winning in a believable way anymore.

Funnily enough, its another "edgy redhead" here lmao.

Seriously though, never letting Kidd and Shanks have a proper fight and giving us proper exposition and flashback on what happened with Kidd meeting the RHP before, how he lost his arm and who to, Shanks actually giving Kidd a reality check with words and not just imitating Roger in a recycled attack is immensely frustrating and disappointing. Oda was really lazy and cowardly.

The sheer irony of Mashima giving us a far better version of this with "NotShanks"/Gildarts vs Natsu and thus a far better written character in Gildarts too:
