Strength, Popularity, Authority, Bounty, better fights, Haki, Dream importance, Panel time etc.

They are creating countless topics of pairs with Luffy and Zoro, they say that Zoro is a protagonist like Vegeta and Sasuke (when he is not), they say he will be stronger than Luffy...
but when we talk about the facts in this topic, then they want to use the card of "protagonist".
What Zorotards don't want to admit is that Luffy is the protagonist and has no one to match him, Zoro is his subordinate and his rival is Sanji.

This sentence can be wrong due to reasons. But if you were saying "Sanji beats Luffy in mobility", this is correct because Luffy can't swin and fly as good as Sanji.
This is mostly correct because most of Luffy's speed, AP, endurance, etc, are attributed from his Mythical Zoan devil fruit. In base, Zoro has advantages in some aspects over Luffy.

The term protagonist doesn't just refer to the main character of the series—You can use it to refer to the other major characters. All SHs are protagonists, for that matter, and Zoro, in particular, is the second most important character in OP. So you can say he's OP's Vegeta or Sasuke. It's a similarity b/w the three; it doesn't necessarily mean they're literally the same because Sasuke and Vegeta are rivals to their respective protagonists while Zoro is more of a partner.
Very few Zoro fanatics think Zoro is stronger than Luffy. These far-reaching opinions are of a minority. You can't really use this to represent the entire Zoro gang although I do see where you're getting at.

Some Zoro fans need to hear it. They think Zoro can one shot Luffy. It’s ridiculous and it’s sometimes hard to distinguish the trolls from the genuine fans.
Luffy is my favorite character however I love Zoro but some Zoro fans are toxic.
