Because gaining those abilities doesn’t rely on skill with the blade.

Anyways let’s get back on topic. Does it make any sense for Zoro to fight Mihawk at LT or the final war?
No it's very relevant to the topic since Zoro's likelihood of facing Mihawk is affecting by this "pure swordsman" nonsense when Zoro himself didnt care. Cabaji was a swordsman and Zoro said he wont lose to anyone who calls themselves a swordsman in that fight.....if Zoro lost, he would have lost to a swordsman. The burden of proof is on you as to why these in your face statements are irrelevant for some reason.

If Oda’s made one thing clear, it’s that he values the story a thousand times more than appeasing fanmade powerscaling. If it makes sense from a narrative perspective for Zoro to beat Mihawk in Elbaf, then he will beat Mihawk in Elbaf, regardless of these fallable WSS interpretations and powerscaling

Yeah shame on us for listening when oda tells us mihawk is the worlds strongest swordsman, we should make up bullshit like pure swordsman thats never been in the story once instead right

So does this mean you finally understand the balance of powers? You finally dropped this low-middle-upper high to the 3rd power top tiers?

You're deflecting. I didn't say anything about power levels. Zoro's goal is to be the STRONGEST swordsman; nothing was ever said about skill....never in the story or narrative was the concept of real swordsmanship ever brought up....never in the story was there any mention of Zoro or anyone else being annoyed at a swordsman using other abilities. Its something you and other people completely made up which is ironic.

If you can show where any "pure swordsman" narrative was ever brought in any of Zoro's battles that would be nice. Until then, everything you say is made up nonsense to appease your assumptions and power scaling....seeing how Shanks and Mihawk are different levels of top tier apparantly....

why would Mihawk go to Elbaf ?

i'm not sure what will happen to Mihawk and if Zoro vs Mihawk will happen , but the fight with Shiryuu seems to be like the one with Mr 1 ; Shiryuu destroying Zoro and then Zoro destroying Shiryuu
He could ally with Shanks and go with him to Elbaf (which could be under Shanks’ protection). That would make sense than Mihawk going to Laugh Tale somehow or picking a fight with Zoro while the SHs are fighting the WG

Can you please show me one instance of Oda ever using the term “top tier”? You’re acting like “top tier” is a canon group that contains every characters you think is in it.

Pure swordsman is just common sense. You don’t get to be WSS by not having the greatest skill with the blade

Elbaf is too soon

Remember Mihawk is Zoro's final goal and I strongly doubt even EoS Shiryu will catch up

Zoro will only be as powerful as him by End of Story
Zoro’s final goal is to become WSS, which he will achieve before Luffy becomes PK. Zoro’s final opponent, during the final war, is likely the swordsman Gorosei, whose strength is a secret to the world

If Zoro beats a guy who beats a guy who is Yonko level that would arguably make him a tier above Yonko level...

Just saying

Honestly I think the below could all be Zoro’s final enemy-

1. Mihawk
2. Shilliew
3. Kizaru
4. Fujitora
5. Blackbeard
6. Shiki
7. Imu-sama
8. Gandhi Gorosei (least likely)

Now that Mihawk is being hunted by the Marines, he obviously won’t be Zoro’s main fight during the final war, and it wouldn’t make sense for Zoro to fight Mihawk in Laugh Tale since the SHs will obviously be fighting the BBP there. So Zoro has to surpass Mihawk in the arc before Laugh Tale, aka Elbaf. After Elbaf, Shiryu will kill Mihawk, so Zoro and Shiryu will have to fight each other to determine who is really the WSS. Zoro will prove himself superior to Mihawk in Elbaf, along with Luffy and Usopp proving themselves superior to Shanks and Yasopp. Agree or disagree?

This bullshit again:laughmoji:
Why should Shiryu even kill Mihawk? For what purpose? They have no connection to each other, not to mention how weak is Shiryu in comparison to Mihawk. This theory needs to die already.

Your mistake is that Mihawk will fight Zoro

There's no way master and student fight seriously or they even clash unless the one of them is evil or sided with WG/Teach.

Surpassing Mihawk is easy.

Luffy will surpass Shanks at Elbaf or next arc indeed
Last arc : surpassing Kata
This arc : surpassing Ray and Oden
Elbaf : surpassing Shanks
Finale Arc : surpassing Roger

The thing, Oda didn't give Zoro milestones as Luffy, Zoro only has Mihawk (inbetweener)
I can see Zoro surpassing him next arc or vs Shiryu

Between Wano and Elbaf we'll get rid of the scrubs called Yonko.

Mihawk is above them, he can't be taken out so soon. :steef:
