Would you drop One Piece for a billion dollars?

Happiness>money.

Money can buy you material things like a fancy car or a big house but that doesn’t mean it will buy you happiness. I rather be happy then get a billion dollars and not happy.
So the only happiness in your life is OP?
I really hate that statements where people say money can't make you happy, but living a normal life working your ass off will make you happy? The things that make you happy won't go away if you got money. (exceptionally in this case now ofc, but only 1 small thing lol) But everytime people talk about it, it's like you either get rich but for some reason can't be happy or be broke but happy lol
Happiness doesn't come only from 1 thing, it's the combination of everything and having a ton of money will make you only happier.

This whole be rich or be happy questions makes 0 sense.

$1 Billion is a lot of money, enough to accomplish probably all the things you ever wanted. Dropping One Piece in exchange for 1Bil should be a no brainer.
However, most underestimate the people's love for a good story. Because of it, a multi-billion(?) industry like movie business exists.

Also, most overestimate how little $1 Million is and how fast it goes away. Is it worth dropping a good story? Probably. If you are smart enough, with 1Mil you could perhaps do something. If not, they are gone before you blink and you are back in the same situation, without One Piece this time.

There are exceptions tho, of course. Bad financial situation, cant feed your kid this month, cant pay for a surgery and many other scenarios... Yeah, dropping OP for a way less would be without hesitation in such cases. Luckily, I am not in such so I am not sure if I would drop OP for a million but for a billion, for sure. I wouldnt have time to regret it with so much money.
I agree with everything you said, I'm not confident I could do enough with $1 Million to create long lasting change in my life so besides something like my family needing the money for something important, I wouldn't do it.

There are many stories of people becoming millionaires by winning the lottery only to be back to their old life or worse a year or so later. Even if you use the money wisely, unless you're some financial genius, you'll most likely be back where you were in 5-6 years.

With a billion even an idiot can make that last atleast decades to live the good life assuming they're not batshit crazy.

Having enough money to get your basic needs met will make you happy, more money than that aside from knowing you won't have to worry about it again won't make you more happy.

Nope but one piece is one of the things that make me the most happy.

Thats why I would only live a simple live, being free is enough for me. I would still somehow work because it doesn’t feel right to chill when there are still people who work their ass off but I could work on something that I love without thinking about money. The rest I would completely spend, so when I’m dead there’s not even a euro left. Everything stays here, you only take the good and bad things you’ve done with you in the end

Those stories are of those who cannot handle money. Those people can't even use their min. income right...
You don't need to be a ''financial genius'' to use those millions to have passive income. Buy a few flats and give them out for rent, there you have passive income.

It will lol. Having enough money to never worry about finances or working everyday with the risk of losing your job are 2 different things. And besides, money gives you the freedom you will never have with a normal job. Which in my opinion is extremely important. You can do what you want whenever you want. Want to visit another country? Go ahead! You don't have to work for 1 year to just have 24+days off. You can help you family with that money or other people. etc. etc. etc.
And that won't make you more happy? lol stop lying to yourself.

one piece is one of my biggest joys and since I’m in quarantine again it’s my biggest as of now.I prefer one piece then a billion dollars ngl. If someone asked me too i would say no and honestly wouldn’t regret it.
Priorities change with age. When you were a child, a plush toy was probably your biggest joy. You would probably prefer an iphone over a plush toy now, i.e. an iphone brings you more joy than a plush toy. There is no guarantee that you will be invested in One Piece after 5-10 years. So yes, you will definitely regret it.

I already mentioned not having to worry about finances.

Everything has their pros and cons, being rich is no different, you'll probably be bored for having so much time on your hands and you might end up lonely because all that money will probably greatly change your friendships and relations to people in your life, not always in a good way.

Having to worry about finances ain’t even a viable discussion piece in this setting my dude, tha richest man on tha planet ain’t turning down a billion dollars. But tha guy who takes 4 years to save up 10k is going to......

Also, for tha people saying money doesn’t buy happiness. You rather be cry inna 1 room shitty flat with no hot water and a leaky roof or inna 6 bedroom 2 story house in Beverly Hills where it’s 75degrees year round with a Ferrari in tha driveway.....

And this is very stereotypical if someone talks about money and being rich. It's automaticaly everything is bad besides your finances which is nonsense. What kinda friends you have has nothing to do with money, you can be poor have bad friends, you can be in the mid income and have bad friends, you can be rich and have bad friends.
