Sanji is a modified human as well... Yamato is an ogre...
It's safe to say that East Blue recruits are normal looking humans... Paradise recruits are abnormal looking humans (Robin is taller than other normal females in the series) + Human DF user who looks abnormal in human form... New World recruits are non-humans...
So:
Carrot4Nakama fans need no worries... Perhaps you should try playing the video during full moon, maybe Carrot would be there since that's the only time she can fight at average SH levels...

I thought Sanji was the only Vinsmoke child who wasn’t a modified human? To have his humanity intact because of Sora.
Plus calling Chopper a modified human does make sense if you factor in his Human Human Devil fruit since it makes Chopper at least partially human, allowing him to speak.

Yeah it would except for the fact that Zoro's whole role is just fighter
First, you can have more than 1 combatant in one ship. One Piece world is battle filled world, having more muscle is good. SH is just special because they're the MC & having unique identity is easier for readers.
Second, if Yamato comes in as the 3rd combatant (instead of log keeper/stonemason/apprentice), they can rename Zoro's role to Swordman and Yamato to Fighter
Third, with Oda's habit and previous female nakama example, I bet Yamato's role is technical related job that is linked/connected to plot progression.
Sora took a drug for Sanji to be able to preserve his "humanity" doesn't mean that it reversed the modification as a whole... But as we see, he's still able to use the RS so the modification is still intact, just "corrupted" likely due to the side effects of drug taken by Sora...

Pedro would be a great addition to the crew... Stealth expert, can detect danger, Haki user, excellently powerful mink fighter (even without Sulong), ZSJ hybrid (design-wise being a sword user, smoker and a non-human), and has memories of a Gol family member... But he's dead...

Yes, but you missed the point, it's not the process, it's the result. Sanji (the end result) doesn't have "abilities/power" like his brothers. That's why his brothers are modified human and the weak ass Sanji is just a human. He left germa as normal human (the classification he belongs to).
If Franky failed to modify his body and became a cripple with no addition whatsoever, would you call him a cyborg?
We can take a look from another perspective too about this topic.

New World recruits : 1 top tier strength (Jinbe), 1 low tier strength (Carrot)
This can change, but it's more balanced this way. It feels off if we get Jinbe and then someone stronger than Jinbe (Yamato). She will overshadow him and that's bad, especially since Jinbe 10 years buildup vs Yamato 10 months buildup.

Sanji is just yet to unlock his exoskeleton... But it's there... Still modified...
I won't call Franky a cyborg if that's the case... But he's still modified...
It's just as simple as having a failed surgery IRL, still surgically modified, just with failed results...
Do you seriously think Jinbe would be overshadowed by Yamato? Did Sanji overshadowed Zoro when he joined? Did Jinbe overshadowed Zoro and Sanji when he joined? Not that I'm saying that the new one is more powerful than the other but the thing is, you said it, 10 year buildup, only to be overshadowed? Besides, we don't know how powerful Yamato really is to conclude that she's more powerful than Jinbe... She drew with Ace and fought Kaido multiple times, that's all we know... For all we know, Oda likes to nerf female characters, Robin is a prime example... At most, I can see her power just a step inferior than RS Sanji and Berserk Jinbe...
There's just simply no room for another weak tier in the crew which would be facing Yonkos and WG top fighters one after another...

Yamato be overlapping with the oni theme, and she doesn't have much else going for her, therefore it's easy to see her character creation was never thought of to be one of the strawhats.
