It's not that far out of context. Sanji fought someone who we thought was near his level, Sanji got his shit snapped. That's pretty in fucking context bro. Why would we bother pitting someone clearly stronger than Sanji against him when he couldn't handle someone actually around his level

They just swung at eachother. It's still kizaru, one of the fastest fucks in the verse. He can block and swing at ray. It doesn't mean he has any real sword tech. He is still gona be fucking around, shooting beams all day, throwing kicks and being a overall asshole on a fight. Its not like he is gona say "time to get serious" and take out his sword when pushed by a non sword user.

No they clashed continuously stopping kizaru doing what he wanted to the point in anger after he captured like 500 pirates
no non swordsman is doing that to a legendary swordsman like ray

There wasnt any actual swordsman that would benefit zoro in this arc in the first place. King doesnt seem to be bother if he fighting in his zoan or with sword he is probably casual wielder. Zero benefit.

We got the biggest fish ( lol literally) in this arc and zoro will definitelu bloom more against Kaido than some fucking commander.

You say this in hindsight, so not really a good statement to make. Literally everyone pandered Zoro vs King before he got Enma, and most people at least thought he would fight King before going to the roof.

Also King hasn't actually gone hybrid yet and we know that the majority of Zoan users fight properly in Hybrid. Drake clearly doesn't use his weapons in full Zoan, he uses them in human and hybrid. We've barely seen King fight in base form and the 2nd time we did (prior to clashing with Sanji) was slash at Marco's wing.

I woudn't call that "casual".

That hybrid is only "if". King is unimpressive since he started fighting. He wouldnt benefit Zoro at all. Only stall zoro for few chapters.

We have bigger fish. More chances to grow and develop.

Nami in sanjis body just got his body blown the fuck up. And before that chopper got beat up in it by giant kids.


Remember when peros got blown the fuck up, despite being a supposed haki user and having candy armor? Oh and everyone calls him "kind of a yonko commander" He got his arm ripped off.

Nami in sanjis body got injured pretty bad, seeing as she has no way of protecting herself or use haki to lessen the bomb. Then right before the fight they talk about sanjis conditions and he goes into a haki tekkai master and gets a bone fracture. Fair. Enough. This is a dude who could fuck up smoker and sanji was going in already fucked up. And people have been going wild and ignoring everything that lead up to that for 10 years. So yea, context.
