Since Oden's death happened in the past, a 0% survival rate would have been more appropriate (and even more impactful) if that were the case

She waited until boiling reached a certain temperature that she knew Oden would withstand with his power of will.

Either it is kanjuro himself or kanjuro betrayed orochi/ stayed loyal to oden.

Kanjuro reminds me of someone who has a split personality, he hates the kozuki as a kurozumi but loved oden as kanjuro. So he might have saved oden 20 yeara ago.

If this is the real Oden, then I can see round2 where he can match Hybrid Kaido but get beaten by awakenend Kaido.
Overall he gonna make Kaido exhausted so the SN can have a chance to defeat Kaido.
