How has it been proven wrong when the fight isn’t over yet? And how do you know this is all Luffy has to offer? Remember when he was struggling against Doflamingo and then brought out Gear 4th? What if he brings out Gear 5? What if Hawkins gives him a crazy power up? There are plenty of ways for Oda to make Luffy hurt Kaido. Don’t bet against the main character.
We not talking about beating. We talking about killing.

Zoro has already taken out the main enemy instead of Luffy before so it is nothing new.
This is a swordsman's arc so betting against a swordsman is worse.
And besides, there is a second Emperor for Luffy to finish off.
Unless Luffy starts punching holes into Kaido he cant keep him down.
His combat style is simply not effective enough.

Then I’ll say the same thing I said to you in the Chopper vs Queen thread, time will tell who’s right.

I could assume that Luffy's new Haki technically doesn't make his punches stronger but cuts deep into his target, which is the same as a sword would/could do, therefore the "logic" that some people are dictating around here is faulty.

If Zoro ever kills Kaido it will be after Luffy defeating him. let us be realistic it is ok to be a fan of Zoro i am one too but Luffy is the MC, the first one who declared he will defeat Kaido, even his training was to defeat Kaido. Zoro himself noticed even that the Haki Luffy'S used to hurt Kaido, was what he learned from Hyogoro. Zoro might be a part of the battle he might hurt Kaido too but the last and deciding Punch will be Luffy's.
Luffy cqn beat him and became zoans fruit he gets up and Zoro finishes him

It's just obvious that Luffy will be the one to do most work and deal the finishing blow on Kaido, some people are just ignoring what is right in front of them.
Finishing blow to a guy that can't stay captured? Lmao He just going to get back up

Even awakened Zoans have their limits and you know it. Luffy will somehow find the power to make him stay down for some time and it will considered a defeat for Kaido.
Literally Kaido escapes everytime. Luffy going to stay on Wano forever

A thread made by a Zoro fan who still can't accept (after soon 24y of OP) that Luffy (the MC) will beat the main antagonist

Just look at Sabaody they all fought the Pacifista but Luffy is the one who deals the finishing Blow

Someone said crazyness is repeat the same thing again and again and expect a different outcome
Same story for 24y and you still expect a different outcome you are crazy
Just like Luffy landed the blow on Morgans. Oh wait

The difference is Mihawk's would be just a defeat in a 1v1 and Kaido would be a kill in a 5v5. Mihawk is the obstacle for Zoro's achievement of becoming the WSS not reaching heaven
Also, do you think that defeating a Gorosei would be better than killing kaido? What's the point of that. Does zoro have some kind of personal problem with them or something? If you defeat someone how does that make your name achieve heaven?

You are wrong smh. Law will perform the surgery on Kaido to make him immortal so he does not die of old age neither. And they will keep him locked in a cage because everyone knows that you succeed at the 19th try.
Well it's not about his name actually "reaching the Heavens", but more metaphorically in the sense that the Gorosei who are the head of the "Gods" of the One Piece World deem Zoro enough of a threat to deal with him (and other Straw Hats) directly.

You can't really become any more notorious than being known throughout the entire World, unless, you know, space and the Space pirates become an actual thing connected to the Straw Hats by EoS. But I sincerely doubt Oda is going to take notoriety to an intergalactic level.

Killing Kaido, and defeating Mihawk are two things that can make a person World renowned, and Oda isn't going to give Zoro both, because it's redundant, and the former conflicts with the latter in terms of Zoro's dream.

usual load of shit from you
it doesnt contradict anything
to have your name reach the heavens like ryuma did
you need MANY legends about it

Quit being a hack. Yall were completely complacent for years with Zoro's name reaching the heavens and him becoming notorious throughout the World simply by him defeating Mihawk. Now you want to come up with nonsensical bullshit to push your agenda because you desperately want to defend your stance on him killing Kaido, but that's all falling apart now that CP-0 is there. You can't use your excuse about it being contained in Wano anymore. :kayneshrug:

tf you talking about ?
everyone will know
this will be one of zoros MANY legends a swordsman needed to make his name reach the heavens

That has already been proven wrong. Kaido will be killed by Zoro because nothing that Luffy has to offer is effective.
Kaido will keep standing up no matter what Luffy hits him with. He cant stand up from missing head or being shredded into pieces.
You guys have fucking lost it. Nothing Luffy has shown is effective? He smashed Kaido's fucking face into the ground, and he didn't even use King Kong Gun yet. Imagine when he brings out King Kong Gatling.

Kaido is already in his final form, and Luffy hasn't even shown his "King" moves of Gear 4 yet.

That doesn't detract from the point. If you are already renowned as the person who killed the World's Strongest Creature, then defeating the World's Strongest Swordsman after that fact doesn't have the same impact. Maybe to the fandom, who can rationalize it using things like "Zoro's name will reach the heavens", but to the eyes of the people of the One Piece World, killing The World's Strongest Creature supersedes defeating the World's Strongest Swordsman. The latter can't come after the fact, it just doesn't work in regards to Zoro's dream.
?

Zoro’s dream has two parts. Having his name reach the heavens, and becoming the best swordsman ever. Defeating Kaido does the former, defeating Mihawk fulfils the latter. Don’t know why we need the mental gymnastics.

Not to mention, there is already a plot point set up for Zoro's name to reach the Heavens. The Celestial Dragons regard themselves as Gods, and with the inclusion of Im-sama in the story, the chances of the Straw Hats fighting against the Gorosei rose exponentially. Zoro tried to attack a Celestial Dragon not once, but twice on Sabaody, which is potential foreshadow of him fighting a Celestial Dragon. There is the Bald Gorosei whose sword strikingly resembles Sandai and Nidai. Doing something against the "God's" of the verse is the surefire way for one's name to reach the Heavens.
I love how we need to do these giga-reach, galaxy brain tinfoil takes instead of, y’know, looking at the mountain of evidence that Zoro is going to be the second Ryuma who, you guessed it, beheaded a dragon in the skies above Wano.

I know it’s destroying people on the inside that Zoro might land the killing blow, but c’mon folks. Stop grasping at straws and try to look at the evidence that’s staring you right in the face :catsure:

It's mental gymnastics because this isn't Zoro Piece. Kaido has been set up as Luffy's opponent for 10 years, including Oda literally explaining how he's trying to come up with the method that Luffy will beat Kaido in 2016.

There's logical bias usually going on when it comes to conceiving Big Mom's character.

No guarantee at all that Oda shall perpetuate the disgusting PIS that went on so insistently. Eventually she will finally need to be focused on and become a substantial threat.
