Rebuilding could be good.
Dodgers only have 6 hitters from the 2018 team.
5 pitchers out of 30.
Kershaw is my favorite pitcher.
Bellinger is my favorite hitter.
Sure, but I wouldn’t call anything LA has done since Magic and Kasten took over “rebuilding”...I don’t think they’ve failed to at least win the division every season in the last decade, right?

Just like I said,
We only have 6 players from the core 2017 team.
The 2021 team is basically a whole new team in regards to pitching rotation and hitters vs 2017.

Dodgers > nl pennant > 87,88, (huge gap) 17, 18, 20

Y’all should have won it all in 2017, I think that really was the best squad they had in that stretch...fuckin’ Astros and their trash cans, man, who knows how many legacies are altered or ruined for what they did??

How do y’all feel about the possibility of a strike after the season?? I don’t see any way the owners and the players union will be able to negotiate a new CBA, they’ve been saying completely different things about labor and revenue sharing for years now.

Same old for sports league. They're gonna negotiate new contracts and keep playing

Another year, another wish for my team, the Angels, to make it back to the playoffs again... It's been a depressing decade that we've only been to the playoffs once while having the best player, maybe ever, on the team.

I'm so damn jealous of the Dodgers and Astros (even though they're cheaters) as a crosstown and division rival.

I know, but any potential stoppages are especially concerning in this sport after the strike wiped out the last half of the 1994 season...the biggest reason fans came back after that contentious run was because McGwire and Sosa were chasing the home run record, but there aren’t many steroid-addled mashers coming up in case the game is put on pause after this season, that’s what worries me the most. It ultimately comes down to multi-millionaire athletes demanding more money and respect from multi-billionaire owners who want to give them neither, and the fans lose harder than anyone else :perocry:

Christ, I didn’t think Angels fans actually identified themselves nowadays...it’s less embarrassing to root for the Cubs or Marlins at this point, they’re not fully wasting the career of quite possibly the best ballplayer who ever lived. If Pujols didn’t immediately flame out the second he left St. Louis, there’s a better chance Mike wins a title between then and now, but damn, they’ve been hard to watch outside of him.

It's tough, man. I'm so sick and tired of us not getting enough pitching. I remember when we traded Corbin to the Diamondbacks for 2 good seasons of Haren and trading for a relief pitcher (who didn't work out, btw) by giving up some dude named MIKE CLEVINGER just to name a few. Not to mention not having a good farm system for the longest time and signing or trading the wrong expensive players all the time.

We have the best player in Trout, had the best defender in Simmons, and probably the most talented player in Ohtani but every year our pitching sucks so bad. Thank God we found Bundy last year and it looks like Heaney is about to take the next step this year but other than that, pitching is still ASS.

I remember being excited for Pujols since he was still considered the best player in the game when he signed but I knew the contract was gonna be really bad at the end. Turns out he only gave us 1 really good healthy season out of 10 for the life of the deal and he's gonna retire right after it ends.

Dude, I remember the Haren trade...and you hit the nail on the head (because I’m sure you’re more aware of these shortcomings than I am), the pitching has been Godawful for a long time. I even remember when y’all gave post-Freak Tim Lincecum a shot, y’all were just SO hard up for warm bodies and that’s still the problem today. Tyler Skaggs is a tragedy for the obvious reasons, but losing him in a baseball sense was tough enough.

Loved Andrelton since he was in Atlanta (got to see him play a few games and make some incredible nabs deep in the hole), and Ohtani is electric either way, but beyond Pujols, the whiffs on CJ Wilson and Josh Hamilton were absolutely brutal, and I don’t think Artie Moreno ever recovered from either one. I’ve always had a quiet affinity for Anaheim, and I think it’ll be a cosmically huge fuckup if Trout plays his entire career without sniffing the Fall Classic, it just doesn’t seem like y’all can do anything without at least one dependable starter. If that ends up being Shohei, more power to y’all, but I wouldn’t count on it at this point 😔
