That’s an assumption. It’s hard to become an Admiral/Yonko < Hard to be WSS < Harder to be PK. That’s been the carrying metric throughout the story and it’s pretty obvious if you drop the biases.
Admirals = Yonko.
Mihawk > Shanks.
Therefore Attaining Mihawks title is harder than that of being as strong as a Admiral.
One has to surpass that stage.

It's crazy how When ppl tried to stop Mihawk from testing Luffy they never hit him even with sneak attacks and when he even attacked he left great feats while bruising diamond form Jozu who hyped himself to stop His slash and daydreaming while clashing with a full swing / shook Vista :virusprot:

Actually, not even close. Mihawk states that it is harder to become the Pirate King than it is to surpass him. Luffy states that the way to become the Pirate King is to surpass the Admirals and Yonko.
So by definition, it is harder to overcome the Admirsls than it is to overcome Mihawk. Which is probably the reason that only one guy in the whole world cares about Mihawk while millions of Marines are trying to elevate themselves as high as possible, but only 3 can reach Fujitora’s level.

I've been saying this for a while now. WSS is a Propaganda title to make Mihawk seem more threatening. In truth WSS isn't a real title wanted by real swordsman. It's pretty much useless, that's why Vista never pursued it.

You are correct, no need for any more mental gymnastics. Mihawk was written into the story to give Zoro fans the illusion of progress, while the entire world knows who the Admirals are, and only the Pirate King can surpass them.
It should have been clear to Zoro fans when Zoro went from Pica to Kaido that Oda doesn’t give a fuck about his growth or about giving him any real competition for WSS lol. He’s just going to get handheld to a goal that nobody cares about.

yeah the progress is by training under the WSS for 2 years you can make an admiral shivering and be pushed back with the weakest slash that's how the training gave its fruits not ur headcanons
