The cynical side of me says it’s because Oda needs to set up a next gen a la Boruto for a sequel. But there’s also the fact that these characters that people have grown up with for 20 years have hardly changed. To show that the series is truly ending, Oda will need to create some big changes in the Straw Hats personal lives.

I also think Hiyori is a good thing for Zoro’s personal development. For as long as we’ve known him, Zoro has had a one track mind. He has no real hobbies outside of drinking and training and he has never shown much interest in personal relationships outside the crew. Zoro finding a love interest will help him diversify and realise there is more to life than swordsmanship. Even Mihawk is diversifying his skill set and taking up farming/animal taming. Hiyori can only be a good thing for Zoro and if they do end up together, Zoro will get a little brother in Momonosuke too.

He basically gets a little sister in Toko too. Zoro could also help shape Momo into a good Shogun - Momo is already an unofficial student of Zoro's in swordsmanship, but he could even help Momo when it comes to being a good leader like he does with Luffy.

And if Zoro winds up being Shimotsuki Ushimaru's son, then it would help tie together the two most important families in Wano together by blood :owo:

What do you guys think this thing around Toki is?
Is it just her panting? Or something else?




Throwing out a crazy theory. What if it's Uranus, the last ancient weapon? Uranus means sky or heaven, the God of it. The yet to be developed Uranus, or maybe juiced out due to being used during the Void century? I am just throwing out random thoughts here lol. But if I am right I am taking credit lol.
