Maybe she'll change her view on him later.
I think it's a good point for Carrot. For Carrot, Luffy is the boss of the crew who literally saved her country. But in WCI, she saw him as a simple human.

Yeah, I can understand against joining just because he’s Ace’s brother and the presumption that he’s part of a prophecy. I get the feeling it will develop into Yamato joining because of Luffy’s own character and is worth going along with because she genuinely wants to though.

I won't be """upset""" if he/she joins after being more developed...But i do not see that happening, Yamato is actually "cool" how it is right now...All the chances the character has to be a "mugi"... to """"Be""" , are present because of the way the character is, changing the Oden dynamic and his personal conflict about who the character is, can easily kill this ambition to sail with Luffy, or move the plot to somewhere unexpected...

Random thought, but i never understood why Oda made the Funk Brothers bad. They are the only major characters in DR that didn't end up becoming part of the fleet, yet had one of the coolest duo powers. Like I'm surprised they didn't join the group with Ideo. That one was simply a band of rag tag villains essentially.

Technically Elizabello and Dagama aren't either, but they are 100% going to be supporting kingdoms in the final war with Dressrosa.

Yeah, we want Yamato to actually fit in with the crew and have her own unique thing, not jsut a half-assed “oh, she can do the same thing as Zoro, I suppose.”

This should not be a controversial opinion, lol, every Strawhat has their own role, so will Yamato. We don’t know what it is yet, but it’ll be uniquely hers, the same way she’ll have her own colour, her own animal, her own role in the family, her own country, all this trivia that Oda has given every other Strawhat so they stand out in the crew.
