Break Week So Zoro acknowledges that King is not a swordsman.

King is a mediocre swordsman with powerful heritage and a useful fruit.

While the strongest people in the verse are top tier swordsmen, even "pure" ones without a DF;

Shanks (no DF)
Oden (no DF)
Mihawk (no DF)
Roger (no DF)
Rayleigh (no DF)

Powerful swordsmen with side powers also fall under the WSS debate. It's just that for King, swordsmanship was a side power and not vice versa.

Nope. In order to be be labeled under that you have to actually contest for it.

Roger and Oden are dead. Rayleigh is retired. And Shanks dueled Mihawk before either had "labels" to their names.

It's the same logic painted with the WSC being equal to Big Mom lol.

Not really. You are the WSS if you are considered the strongest and not if you are interested in contesting for it. Whitebeard was not interested in the WSM title either, yet he was the WSM.

Mihawk is interested in fighting someone equal or greater. If he heard of a potentially stronger swordsman, he would head out himself and challenge him, gladly giving his title away.

Mihawk is still the strongest swordsman though so no matter how much Shanks improved Mihawk remains stronger than him
Nope, not proven Shanks tried to become the WSS at all in 10 years. He dueled with Mihawk before any of them had titles and neither had known to win or lose against the other.. He became a Yonko. Mihawk became the WSS. He's also geared to fight Luffy if they fight, not a swordsman, so who cares lol.
Post automatically merged:

So imagine what he could do with TWO arms :wellwell:

That's the Shanks that Mihawk fought against

Mihawk's vivre card says he was the WSS before Roger's death

Then he became a mere Yonko after getting nerfed by losing his arm

:mihugh:
Exactly, after losing his arm and realizing that he would never be able to beat Mihawk in that situation, he gives up the idea of being the strongest and seeks power in other ways, such as political influence, the literal definition of what an emperor is.

And we know that neither lost to the other, so doesn't matter lol. Like I said, Shanks has other ambitions that clearly have nothing to do with swordsmanship
