General & Others Ace’s Novel : Part 2

I love how the argument has rapidly devolved from ‘Shanks left Mihawk behind’ to ‘Mihawk couldn’t cruise by Shanks’ as each headcanon was debunked.
It’s never “rapidly devolved”. The former is a natural progression of the latter. Not shocked that you can’t come to grips with that, seeing as how you’re obfuscating the time of each event, acting as if I’ve changed my opinion from one to the other when the latter applies to a period of time at the beginning of Shanks career and the former apples to current Shanks.
‘Shanks the upstart green rookie pirate’ with an apprenticeship under the Pirate King, at least one legendary pirate war and the Dark King’s training under his belt
“NUH UH, SHANKS WAS TOTALLY AN EXPERIENCED PIRATE,” says the Mihawk fanboy, who, in order to describe Shanks’ experience in order to demonstrate how he was experienced enough to be a threat to Mihawk, used a word for a position on the crew that perfectly demonstrates his inexperience. Go back to your echo chamber and stop quoting me, as I said the last time I responded.

Oh, how could I forget. The natural progression of a shonen rivalry is going from ~equals —> one left the other ‘in the dust’. /s Too bad that doesn’t apply in the manga of One Piece where characters both in and out of canon continue to associate both Shanks and Mihawk with each other, many years after their duels have ceased it’s still all people talk about.

I think Oda has done a spectacular job of indicating to his shonen audience how Shanks has totally left Mihawk in the dust. People just can’t stop listing Shanks’ achievements in the past 7 years leading up to the Ace novel! There’s even talk of, gasp, handing the WSS title over to Shanks, who the Vivre card described as ‘sharpening swords’ or competing ruthlessly with Mihawk! When Oda referenced top dogs of the Op world staring each other down, prepared to sackwhack their opponents into submission, he chose Whitebeard, Shanks and Kai-oops, no, that was Mihawk too.

Oh Ace, you forgetful little thing. Shanks has achieved so much since he left Mihawk in the dust! Like, uh... uh... Well it doesn’t matter! Left in the dust, I say!

???

An apprenticeship is for the express purpose of gaining experience... so when you’ve finished your apprenticeship... you’re no longer inexperienced...

This is bizarre. It’s like saying I apprenticed under Bill Gates, got trained by Steve Jobs and worked on the development of the earbuds, but I’m still a green, inexperienced tech rookie.

Not surprised you couldn’t figure out that last line, since you’re struggling to grasp how an apprenticeship is an acknowledgement that you’re inexperienced, and that learning from someone isn’t the same as doing it yourself, on your own.

Feat wise Mihawk isnt even close to Shanks anymore he was his rival before 10 years ago but now he is a Yonko Shanks is far above him

Lets classify Mihawk in Marineford he couldnt one or two shot Vista like Big Mom did it to Queen on the countray Vista hold him off and kept up with him
Vista is the second strongest after Marco he is the Queen or even Jack of the WBP ( if you count Oden as first mate and Marco the second) so Mihawk is strength wise at Smoothie, Jack level or a bit above but not on Yonko level

Oden also landed a hit on Kaido or Kaido lost 7 times now he is equal to WB the same goes for Shanks earlier Blackbeard too could hurt him but then Shanks skyrocket and become a yonko and Blackbeard barely beat Ace though he closed the gap now probably

The evolution of an character can differ while Shanks reached Yonko status Mihawk got stuck between Jack and King level fighter

Ooooooof

And when Crocodile stopped Mihawk, Mihawk didn't fight with Crocodile who we know is weaker than pre-TS Luffy. Mihawk held back, and this "feat" fallacy is a way to ignore context so that you can place the WSS below the Emperors. I can ignore context too by placing Queen above Big Mom because he knocked her out. Hell, I could even place Kaido below Big Mom since he struggled with an opponent Queen "owned" for three days.

Filler is something that the author doesnt write/approve so its not a filler its Odas manga and in his manga Kaido is referred as such in the manga which is cannon
You don't understand what a wall of filler is.
He is youre just the kind of person who just cant make accept anything if its not specific written there lol
Nope. And you are yet to provide an argument to show it. I already explained to you all the situations that you listed. It was in the first post.

Maybe you didn't click on the spoiler button, so this time I'll place it like this.

Do you understand the difference between hearsay and actual stuff? If not there is no point in my trying to explain it to you then.

Do you understand the Oda already introduced two world strongest title holders and gave both of them an intro box, clearly depicted everything that he wanted, but with Kaido, he didn't. He left it like a rumor. I am not sure what's hard to understand there.

And no that sbs did not confirm anything. That is the official Viz translation. Even though they are similar, there are small nuances that make it different, such as 'even Kaido' not appearing. Moreover, Oda says world's strongest creature, not living being. In addition, he leaves no doubts to a mother actually being the WSC. He highlights it by saying she is stronger than Kaido, the supposed WSC, and she is thus the actual WSC. There's no room to debate about anything concerning the mother, as opposed to Kaido.

Luffys 25 foot example is a different its just a random citizen who has no credit in the manga
Random citizens are the ones who started the rumor about Kaido. 'People say' and 'it is said' started from randoms around the world. The example serves to illustrate the kind of rumors that circulate around the OP world. Luffy being a 25 foot tall monster is something the world of OP thinks, and is talking about.

he is the strongest living creature
Nope.

Viz is not above Odas editor btw Viz is just an translator who bought the rights of officially publish OP Stephan Paul is not above Oda or his editor
Stephen Paul is the official translator. He translates what Oda writes in his own manga. You know what Oda didn't write in his own manga? The panel that we are discussing. I don't understand what you wanted to say with this. Oda didn't include that and it was rectified in the proper release.

Again ant example to giant example
Its not the same
Dressrosa a random citizen and others who have far more credit
Covered above.

there is also no box that formally introduced Kaido as an actual Yonko like Mihawk or Wb so does it mean he cant be a yonko too ?

There isnt any box that introduced Shanks as an Yonko too o_O because facts are only if its in a specific box
False equivalence. We are talking about WS titles. Two examples we have of WS titles were made clear. In the manga, with an intro box, whilst Kaido's is not like that. Here's an example. Please click on the spoiler button

Wrong use of the word facts. Facts are facts. Shanks is a Yonko. That's a fact. Kaido being the WSC is not. The author himself chose to make nuances around it. Not my fault.
We've been shown and told that Shanks and Kaido ARE Yonko. That's a fact. There's even a chapter entitled Emperor of the sea Kaido vs Luffy. Those are facts. Mihawk being the WSS, WB being the WSM, those are facts. Kaido being the WSC is not.

he does xD why should refer the people to him if he doesnt possesses the title are they schizoid or something
I explained this numerous times. Why do people refer to Luffy as a 25 foot tall monster? Is he? We know he isn't. That's why it's hearsay and a rumor.

Editor above Viz
Oda above editor.

He is youre just the kind of person who just cant make accept anything if its not specific written there lol
Funny that you said this, but later said Mihawk is Jack level and added swordsmen above him. I love the irony.

You gotta give me something new to talk about, I debunked all of this in my first post. You seem to be unable to comprehend that. Unless you provide something new or significant, please don't quote me, or if you do quote me I probably won't respond and waste my time.

You don't understand what a wall of filler is.
A filler is something that the manga doesnt cover up and the staff come up themselves l

Nope. And you are yet to provide an argument to show it. I already explained to you all the situations that you listed. It was in the first post.
lol I read it
Maybe you didn't click on the spoiler button, so this time I'll place it like this.

Look Mihawk is also known as the strongest swordsman just because Kaido doesnt have specific box there isnt going to change the fact thats what Im telling to you
the narrator says that Kaido is said to be the strongest creature alive the narrator is not some random citizien how do you know that one is the strongest ??? or when Roger is pirate king if he is called by others like that they accept it youre lock that "people say or often called or known" that does just provide he is the strongest living creature or they schizoid ?? its not an rumour like Luffys it confirmed multiple times
Actual staff is not only the box thats what Im saying its like in my yonko example they dont a box to known that and when Oda is going to introduce Kaido with a box you will prob delete all those posts but I will remember it xD

And no that sbs did not confirm anything. That is the official Viz translation. Even though they are similar, there are small nuances that make it different, such as 'even Kaido' not appearing. Moreover, Oda says world's strongest creature, not living being. In addition, he leaves no doubts to a mother actually being the WSC. xDD Lol youre comphrension skill is really low Oda uses Kaido as a benchmark for the strongest creature you know its interpretation and thats why I say you need everything depicted in a box or you won't believe it again no need for the boxes xD

No they arent its the ones who witness him that spread it and random citizens are hearing it though changed a bit Luffy is a beast when it comes to fighting but he is not a 8 meter tall monster he is 1,74 tall monster also look the citizens heard a rumor about how the pirate Luffy is a monster so roughly Luffy is a monster not the way he thinks he is but the example like appearance or
the height is just a small sub fact

So Kaidos rumor in your words comes from the narrator who is Oda himself , Law and the magazine but you still think he is not the strongest living creature because it wasnt depicted in a specific box thats frighting so do you think in the end Kaido will not be the strongest creature?
Again an random citizen who has just heard and Law is different it's like you ask a random citizen about a disease and a doctor who has actual knowledge but you think both have the same credit and thats frighting

Also if a random citizen say Kaido isnt the strongest creature and Law says he is Kaido would still be the strongest creature

Stephen Paul is the official translator. He translates what Oda writes in his own manga. You know what Oda didn't write in his own manga? The panel that we are discussing. I don't understand what you wanted to say with this. Oda didn't include that and it was rectified in the proper release.
He is but his english-japanese skill are not godly
Oda as a narrator not as a random citizen that he is the strongest living creature
And why would the editor write the sentenec "such is , Kaido the strongest living creature" is he stupid

lse equivalence. We are talking about WS titles. Two examples we have of WS titles were made clear. In the manga, with an intro box, whilst Kaido's is not like that. Here's an example. Please click on the spoiler button
Again a box its not always necessary

Wrong use of the word facts. Facts are facts. Shanks is a Yonko. That's a fact. Kaido being the WSC is not. The author himself chose to make nuances around it. Not my fault.
We've been shown and told that Shanks and Kaido ARE Yonko. That's a fact. There's even a chapter entitled Emperor of the sea Kaido vs Luffy. Those are facts. Mihawk being the WSS, WB being the WSM, those are facts. Kaido being the WSC is not.
The author does make a nuances when he implies it saying its not is wrong becaue its implied if you understand it that
Not is wrong here cause we dont call Shanks randomly out of nowhere the strongest that would "not" but hearing it from multiple sources makes it implying and yes it is your fault

Fact is that he is called by multiple sources the strongest living creature either they are wrong or youre wrong I have strongly the feeling you are wrong but the moment Oda introduce Kaido also with the box we will come like vultures

Funny that you said this, but later said Mihawk is Jack level and added swordsmen above him. I love the irony.

Ask Oda he made him fight equally with Vista

what manga two piece ?
Well One piece Marineford arc

Mihawk is zoro's final opponent.
King will be defeated by zoro at the end of wano arc.
we dont know maybe someone in the WG

And when Crocodile stopped Mihawk, Mihawk didn't fight with Crocodile who we know is weaker than pre-TS Luffy. Mihawk held back, and this "feat" fallacy is a way to ignore context so that you can place the WSS below the Emperors. I can ignore context too by placing Queen above Big Mom because he knocked her out. Hell, I could even place Kaido below Big Mom since he struggled with an opponent Queen "owned" for three days.
it was a clash not a fight he and vista fought for a couple of times
its not context here if you look at the actual fight Queen was easily overpowered by BM while Vista not normally Mihawk should also be easily to overpower if the difference is that big its not I'm sorry we cant ignore that fact

A filler is something that the manga doesnt cover up and the staff come up themselves l
The term "filler" existed before it was used to describe bonus material for anime adaptations of manga.

the narrator says that Kaido is said to be the strongest creature alive the narrator
Again an random citizen who has just heard and Law is different
Also if a random citizen say Kaido isnt the strongest creature and Law says he is Kaido would still be the strongest creature
Oda as a narrator not as a random citizen that he is the strongest living creature
Chapter 697

Trafalgar Law: [And Kaido, King Of The Beasts…] […is often called the most powerful creature in the world.]

Chapter 795

Narrator: [People say, “in a one-on-one fight, always bet on Kaido.”] [Land, sea, and air—out of every living thing in the world…] […this pirate is said to be the strongest creature alive!!!]

it was a clash not a fight he and vista fought for a couple of times
Mihawk not slaying Crocodile right there and then as he did Daz Bones should be the tip off that he was not going 100%. Let me guess, post Dressrosa Luffy is Admiral level, right?

its not context here if you look at the actual fight Queen was easily overpowered by BM while Vista not normally Mihawk should also be easily to overpower if the difference is that big its not I'm sorry we cant ignore that fact
Exactly the point. If you ignore the context behind Brachio Bomber putting Big Mom out of commission, then it leads to the misconception that she (and Kaido by proxy) is below YC2.

Oda didn't write it. I don't really see how it's any different from stuff like Stampede or anime filler, it's just a different medium.

Absolutely not worth people getting into heated debates over the word choices used in the summaries of it though.
Stop the misinformation, i provided links and proof that its canon and oda considers it canon. The fact that you dont like it or it not going with your headcanon means squat. Oda was heavily involved in this, had meetings with the author and told him what to write or not. Shueisha and oda then advertised it as official. You can now fuck off. Oda is using this to expand on his universe, half the stuff thats written there will never appear on the manga. Oda wants to end one piece soon and this is his why of expanding the story for the fan.
So, again, stop the misinformation.
