No it didn't, it was after this attack kaidou used thunder bagua how can u say that battle was almost over??
Without interference, Kaido wouldn't have chance to do Thunder Bagua.
He still at pain in ground and Oden was about to launch second attack.
Even if second attack didn't kill him, he will be writhing in more pain and the third, fourth, fifth attacks are incoming.

More like Doffy is a better version of Crocodile.:pepedoffy:

Crocodile is cool and all but Doffy is better.:doffyou:

Doffy managed to quickly take over Dressrosa and was able to rule the country for more than 10 years, meanwhile Crocodile spent years trying to take over Alabasta and ended up failing.:doffytroll:
That's not the point
Crocodile is when Oda was entering his prime in terms of writing villains and arcs
Doffy is when Oda started to lose his prime and creativity

What do you think of this scene then?

With the added context, is Kaido putting Oden on emperor level? Or that these are top 5 he has faced?

Don't think the current chapter really changes anything with regards to this.
My thoughts on that panel is that those 5 are people Kaido consider to be the very strongest (i.e. prolly the strongest he's ever faced and maybe even the only people that ever been able to drive him into a corner). At this point in time, Luffy isn't really as strong as Kaido but Kaido is thinking he's of the same ilk as those 5.

Finalbeta

Zoro Worshipper
Itd be kinda cute if luffy goes all santa claus and decides to let them all sleep with when they wake up they're surrounded by all their loved ones taken away from them, fresh water, food, orochi down, kaido down, with the kozuki and their samurai finally back

Like imagine the first person wakes up around dawn waking up the people around them out of excitement and the island just roaring
Indeed Zoro will wake up around and ultimate Oden's sacred holy job :moonwalk:
