Ratchet seems to do that stuff all the time but in her case it kinda feels off.

1)Flowa coming in defending you strike me as hell weird if I consider what you said about those two roles working together.

If I were making a game like this, I'd design their roles in such a way to reflect this, such as having them be able to work together in specific scenarios but otherwise work against or independently of. The fact that them arriving at the game is significant, because they join late in the flavour too, and end up taking over. My point was to say, figuring out under what scenarios they can be allied may be important, because their threat level will be directly related to that.

I think there is a reasonable chance Flower is one of the two, and if I had to guess, I'd say Bernkastel. Why? Because she used a Cat Witch, and well, see:

The fact that Flower is being open about this, if she is indeed Bernkastel, tells me that she may not be Anti-Town. Which makes sense, because Bernkastel spends most of the time working alongside the protagonist."​

By the time we're on episode 6 (which is where I'm at, so I can't speak for beyond that point) they're basically running the show. If I had to put out a theory, I'd say their presence is a notification that these characters are here, so that we can brace for their later shenanigans. They exist on a higher plane, so they could probably do things like creating rules for the game or extra lynches. It could also just be a nod to flavour, as their presence observing the game is already a significant event in the context of the flavour. TL;DR it's a warning to expect Lambdadelta and Bernkastel to start messing around at some point, or it's there to hype them up as per flavour."​

I asked for cliff notes, stated I'm busy etc, and am trying to get through the 40 odd pages.

Huh? I saw he'd posted and he always replies to me. Doddsy is probably asleep and I struggle to read him anytime. You wouldn't know what I would ordinarily do. Cal and I have issues so that's not a rabbit hole I want to go down.

"Correct. Because well, I'm neither of them, and there's a very good chance I'd catch on to said hints, like I did, right away. And moreover, I'd expect them to be able to communicate with one another outside of the thread anyway, they make a lot of sense as Masons. And finally, if there was any one of them who would seek the other, it would be Lambdadelta seeking Bernkastel, not the other way around. This is because Bernkastel is derived from Rika Furude, who is one of the main characters from Higurashi. Lambdadelta is also associated with the main villain of Higurashi, and in flavour, Higurashi is described as an example of Bernkastel besting Lambdadelta. Lambdadelta then proceeds to rig the next game, Umineko, to keep Bernkastel trapped there (hence why Lambdadelta wants a tie result, so the game never ends). In terms of characterisation, Lambdadelta often fawns over Bernkastel, who in return is mostly condenscending and dismissive. All of this is to say, if either of them wants to actively seek out the other, it would be Lambdadelta seeking out Bernkastel, not Bernkastel seeking out Lambdadelta. And I've explained why I think Flower would be Bernkastel, between the two of them.

Now, you could say Flower is hinting to the real Bernkastel, somehow, but that would require her to have fairly intrinsic knowledge of the flavour to understand this characterisation and dynamic between the two, which I don't believe she has. As a result, she's probably just Bernkastel, if any, and doesn't care to hide this. And she'd have good reason to not bother hiding it too - Bernkastel (and Lambdadelta) are both effectively immortal, with only boredom being able to kill them (and even if they are killed through that, they can simply revive once their interest is piqued again)."​

"I just find it odd that you've default to Ekko, I didn't mention Pein because I would have found it similarly odd. I forgot about Grammaton. It's not really an issue, I just felt it noteworthy."​
