It’s WS or bust for the Pads, huh?? Could we get a 1998 rematch between them and the Yankees?? Also, @Noyman, I know your Angels are fading, but you gotta love my Mariners on the come up :steef:
Well, Eric Hosmer has gotta waive his no-trade clause first. It's gonna be a shitstorm, especially in SD, if he declines going to WAS. It's the most power he's had all year though (I stole that one lol)

Yeah. I loved how you hit my boi Trouty, who has a fucked back now, while y'all we're already on the come up. Classy team:gonope:

I love Hosmer from his Royals days, but that would be a tremendous dick move and would definitely bite him in the ass should he stay in SD. Also, as far as Trout goes…I don’t know if it’s the team he plays for consistently underperforming (no offense), the fact that he managed to come off sounding dumber than anyone else in that slap debacle between Tommy Pham and Joc Pederson earlier this year, or that he’s the favorite player of my friend who we had to kick out of our fantasy league for various reasons, but I am rapidly caring less and less about him as the days go by. Still appreciate his body of work and think he’s a sure fire Hall of Famer, but it’s clear he’ll be one of those inductees who never got close to winning a pennant and is only legendary for his individual efforts. Not his fault, obviously Moreno and the revolving door of GMs deserve the brunt of the blame, but I no longer think they deserve ALL of it, he seems more content to collect a paycheck than ever before.

I like the Padres so I don't want to see them get fucked (they should've consulted him though before they even made the trade) but I do like to see what it'd be like for everyone's reactions if the trade falls apart lol. As for Trouty, I didn't hear much of what he said during that fantasy baseball debacle other than "no comment" and I can understand if people outside don't care much about him anymore 'cause we don't win and we have a unicorn.

The org. and especially Arte (fuck him) def. deserve all of the blame though. We've never been top 10 when it comes to farm systems during Trout's reign. Eppler & Minasian have at least said that he always tries to keep in touch when it comes to transactions, even down to the minor leagues, and Perry also said that he tried to help recruit FAs to come to LA (I think Trout himself said that he tried to recruit Scherzer and other guys but it didn't work). I don't know if he'll be content to collect a paycheck moving forward after this season but that def. wasn't the case during the previous seasons. He just thought that it could work in LA but unfortunately it didn't.

Well, looks like he’s heading to Boston *spits* and the Soto deal is still going down without him, guess we’ll see what it looks like now. Beyond that, what do you think can be done for your team?? Selling Trout and Ohtani for all they’re worth is really the only way forward for the farm, and I doubt Moreno’s looking to get outta town just yet…

Honestly, that's the most sensible thing that can be done for us and for them at this point and it just makes me sick to my stomach thinking about it. It's gonna sting when Ohtani goes to the Dodgers or any other team for free

By no measure am I a Phillies fan, but winning the pennant as a sixth seed in the first year that playoff spot even exists at the MLB level is objectively one of the funniest outcomes for this season :milaugh:
