Current Zoro low diffs Shirahoshi with sea kings so he's already above one of them. EOS will have power above all of them and will be the true ancient weapon of the verse :goyea:
This plus the fact Zoro wont be affected by whatever is Imu ability with Sea Water cause he didnt et a DF.

And his Haki plus tatsumaki negg lightning.

If Zoro fight Imu he will definitely look good.

Enel was lucky that Oda didnt know how to have Zoro face him at the Time, Imu wont be as lucky.

The best Od1 gonna do is nerf Zoro by having him do something greater to protect Luffy and his crew like always and Beat Balt Gorosei.

If it comes to Zoro vs Imu, I think Oda will do Zoro dirty as he did vs Enel.
He will make Zoro lose due to exhaustion, from fighting 2 top tiers before Imu.
That way, Luffy will look good again, "the only one who can beat Imu"...

Luffy always fights his opponents with massive amounts of help because Oda loves pushing the dated underdog narrative so I could see a father/son team up with Dragon. Maybe even throw Sabo in the mix :mihugh:

I feel like the bald Gorosei is the ultimate bodyguard for Imu so if Zoro fights him while Luffy fights Imu with help it won't be bad at all imo

Can any you guys be kind enough to summarize main events that happened since Egghead started? Anything of interest regarding Zoro/Mihawk/Ryuma?

I dropped out when 1061 spoilers dropped. Came back when I saw Zoro was doing stuff again. Not sure if I wanna fully dive back in or wait to let chapters accumulate.

Lucci and Kaku showed up, Stussy put them to sleep after they clashed with Luffy and Zoro.
Zoro clashed with seraph Hawk. Kizaru and one of the 5 Elders about to arrive on Egghead.
All things, including DFs are brought into this world through desire, explaining Zoro's Asura.

Thanks man. Seems like it’s worth following OP for a while if Kizaru gonna show up.

No Jyabura? Where would you put current Kaku and Lucci? YC2+ or below?

:finally:

That sounds stupid.

Jabra hasnt been seen since the cover story, afaik. I wouldnt place Kaku and Lucci below YC2s, no point in them being any lower.
They were always Government's elite and the elite isnt among the veterans. Calling them YC1 is way too generous tho.

That sounds stupid.
Actually makes sense. Every DF is created through desire and not just DFs.
Luffy's Sun god is a manifestation of desire for freedom, dreamed up by someone before him(probably OG Joyboy).
Zoro's Demon god is a manifestation of the desire for power, to be stronger.
And since Demon god DF doesnt exist, Zoro willed it into existence for the first time ever.

I guess that’s kinda make sense. But it is also is a cop out to give X win over Y because X has more desire than Y. Hard work, strategy, elemental advantages be damned.

Well, kinda yeah but it isnt as bad as it sounds.
But supports my theory that the peak of desires are DFs/abilities that are named after a god.
Combat match-ups have been taking the knee ever since haki became more and more dominant.
A shame, combat was interesting before Haki took over.

I was inspired by this thread, what would be the most satisfying conclusion to Zoro's story? There is probably three ways to end it:

Making it completely close-ended like Edward Elric from FMA. Like Ed lost his alchemist status and lived like normal human with Winry, Zoro can be faced with consequence that forbids him from ever picking up a sword again and he will live like normal man with some woman. Or he may just die. While gruesome and somewhat contradictory to his ambitions, I think I can get behind this type of ending. Specially because Oda wouldn’t be able to bring him back without complete asspullery if Oda goes Kishimoto route..
Another way would be to leave it completely open-ended. For example, when Samurai Jack was cancelled after Season 4, most fans just took a previous episode (where the portal shows a battle-hardened Jack who apparently won) as the ending. Zoro's dream could remain unfulfilled but we can get a glimpse of the future where a more mature Zoro does become WSS and WSM. This one is also kind of contradictory, but that leaves Oda or somebody passionate about Zoro to end his journey properly later in a story where he is the MC (similar to how Samurai Jack finally closed It's curtain almost 10 years later).
The final option and the most likely one as well (as the most desired one I suppose) is Zoro achieving his goal and living happily ever after with Hiyori/Tashigi, becoming a Dojo master and drinking alcohol. While there is nothing wrong with this ending (afterall, this is the most common type of ending), this leaves room for milking if Oda/somebody decides to do it later. For example, Boruto and Bleach's Hell chapter.
Among the examples, I enjoyed FMA's ending the best. Every few years, I rewatch FMAB and at the end of last episode it really feels satisfying to see it all end and yet a little sad that there is nothing more.

And after watching Season 5 of Samurai Jack, I felt that I preferred how things were left off after Season 4. So, a completely open-ended ending to Zoro's story in OP may not be that bad for my taste.

But with Naruto, the ending doesn’t feel satisfying anymore since these characters are still being brought back (and basically butchered). So, even though it is where OP is going, sometimes this "they lived happily ever after with no consequences" doesn’t look appealing to me at all.

What type of ending would be most satisfying to you guys?

I mean Zoro's dream is not be the WSS that's part of it his real dream is name reach to heavens since he carries and a legacy in his beloved sword and little by little he is getting it supernova swordsmaster King of hell is not power but also fame WSS is a promise for sake of both
And about zoro end I have two options
1 nik less favourite WSS and PK partners so he won't leave luffy they will stay together
2 luffy dissapears or dies if you have realized oda drew old zoro and old nami like rayleigh and shakky so imo they will open a bar since both like to drink probably they will keep luffy's hat

If Oda ends story with an significantly older Zoro (i.e. 60 years) drinking in a Bar, I'd say that is a close-ended (there's got to be a better word for it) ending. I think I will be very satisfied with that.

But if it ends with people getting married (e.g. Naruto/Hinata), I wouldn’t consider it close-ended.

I mean yeah one piece ending like bleach this marries with this will be pretty dissapointing
