First, this is most likely wrong. The defense of Hamas is simply how anyone would create a resistance in such a small space. So this argument is completely fallacious.
Second, its doubly fallacious because your argumentation is similar to someone saying that because a man holds a woman in hostage, therefore its legitimate to kill both of them as an act of defense. Its simply illogical and completely sociopathic.
There is absolutely no logic to your argumentation beside the repetition of the propaganda of a cryptofascist and far right state.

The argument is that Hamas is not using human shield. They are just using the most effective strategy to avoid being annihilated. This is the strategy that any resistance group would adopt in such a situation in a space that small.
When you don't have an entire country to resist, you can't afford creating bases (and even then WWII proved that resistant will often hide in the population to avoid being annihilated), so what you do then ? Well, you create tunnels under the city with access in different locations and habitations to move around.
With the need of man power, in a space that small and with almost no region to create bases that can be hidden effectively, the only solution viable is to hide under the city, hidding among the population.
Any good war strategist would understand that.
The argument that the Hamas is using the population as human shield is a a clear deshumanization process and a child level propaganda meant to delegitimize the simple existence of the resistance against an illegal and horrific colonization process and oppression of the population by the Israelian government in the eyes of the rest of Palestinians and the international community.
