Crackpot theory guys:

If you all remember, the Elden Beast was said to have arrived in the Center of the Lands Between. Well, if the SOTE land is truly in the middle of the map, that would suggest that this is where the Elden Beast first landed, and this would undoubtedly be a reason why Marika hid this land, because she wouldn’t want anyone else to know the location of where she got her godlike power right?

Well, here’s where my crackpot theory comes in: What if the Elden Beast didn’t land in the LB by chance, what if Marika somehow called the Greater Will to the Lands herself?

Up until now I kind of just assumed that the Outer Gods are just these beings that exist for reasons we can’t understand, but what if that’s not true? What if the Outer Gods are were actually summoned to the Lands themselves? Now I don’t know how Marika would do this, but something tells me that the Divine Towers forming a perfect circle around the area where the SOTE land is located can’t be coincidence.

What if the ultimate purpose of the Divine Towers (and the SOTE land) was to summon the Outer Gods? And this is why Marika would want to hide that land from everyone so no more Outer Gods could be summoned?

Idk, just thinking lol

I’m not sure about calling the Greater Will itself to the lands between, but I definitely agree that the Golden Order/Greater Will was not even remotely close to a dominant power in the world before Marika arrived. Just look at the giants and their god, Plaxidusax and his god, the crucible stuff, etc.

Also, lowkey the idea that the Erdtree is a parasite on a pre existing crucible related tree may be getting support from the sheer amount of crucible incantations we see.

Perhaps the original tree is the one being strangled.

Nah. For me, everything about Marika points to her being an unwilling host for the Greater Will, and everything so far was just one giant suicide plan to escape it. Takes a while since she's always under surveillance.

The Outer Gods imo want to destroy each other and is continously seeking to spread it's reach. The Greater Will just so happens to be in 1st place.

I imagine she was a willing servant of the GW at first, but when the GW made her discard Godfrey was when she started doubting its guidance. And then when Godwyn died her hatred would have continued to grow.

I imagine she would’ve pledged herself to the GW when she was young and foolish, thinking that living as a god would be what she wanted, but over time she would realize that she didn’t have the unlimited power that she thought she did and was just the GW’s puppet.

I think so too. That could've been when she was given a shadow beast to keep her in check. I also find it interesting that the GW quickly gave Ranni a shadow beasts, as if she was their insurance if things go wrong with Marika.

honestly the trailer makes it look way bigger than Limgrave https://www.reddit.com/r/Eldenring/comments/1aytlw2
I personally don’t really care about the surface area size that much. Limgrave in terms of area is bigger than DS1 and almost as big as DS3

The content density and quality matters much more to me, and Miyazaki literally says it will have multiple legacy dungeons and be more dense in the eurogamer interview.

Do you have a source for that? That's unbelievable lol

And you're right. The legacy dungeons probably aren't included in that

I heard a rumor that the dlc is as big as Base Bloodborne

So why is there huge hype for this game . I no longer play games these days but is it that good that can bring me back to playing Play Station ? Been while I played online multiverse games .
