Kakukai and Ryofui were also on good terms with one another, Ryofui very much respected Kakukai and the influence he possessed within Zhao. Literally Kakukai is the true ruler of Zhao, Toujou and Yuuboku are his puppets.

Riboku is not really the smartest politician, he's not a dirty scheming scumbag like Ryofui. Kitetsu was a legit threat to Ryofui, his only rival. That's way above the pay grade of Zhao and its piss poor court, Qin is on a different level entirely in that regards

It counts as dragging when it's been roughly a fucking decade on Riboku and Zhao. You can fit the entire historical timeline of Zhao conquest in a much lesser time, something that would've made Riboku and Zhao more interesting.

Yeah no thanks, I'm sure new readers picking up this manga would notice the drastic change in pacing when they hit post-Gyou chapters.

Honestly Houken always seemed like he doesn't belong in this manga. He always seems too strong for Kingdom verse, it feels he actually belongs somewhere like in Naruto world.
Same applies to Kyokai, but Houken was more extreme example.

Nah, Kyoukai is far, far worse than Houken. Houken would have been beaten by Ouki without interference, Hyou was able to temporarily cripple Houken and Shin would have been a high diff fight for Houken if both were physically fresh and not mentally compromised. Houken stands at the pinnacle of Kingdom's martial prowess but he isn't above it. For all his claims of surpassing humanity, he was still a human within (Kingdom's) human limits.

Kyoukai despite being a tertiary protagonist at this point has only had one proper 1v1 duel and it was against another of her Shiyuu kind. Only Hara himself can nerf this Naruto character's presence.

The only reason Kitetsu came to power is because he supported Seikyou’s ascension to the throne. Without Seikyou, Kitetsu would’ve never amassed the influence he did.

Ryofui and Kakukai rose to power without directly supporting any sovereign. In fact Kakukai legit supplanted the rightful ruler of Zhao in Prince Ka.

You say Riboku isn’t a great politician but literally the only two politicians to successfully outplay Riboku were Ryofui and Kakukai. Lol
