That's one of the themes, and it was around in Game of Thrones too.

Personally, i think the main theme of the story is Generational Trauma.

House of the Dragon is just one step in the middle of this entire mess that started a long time ago.
Both sides in the war are idiotic.

Best person on black side is Jayce, best person on green is Aegon, everyone else is trash

My boy Oscar Tully is the GOAT tho

It was Mysaria that told her to do it, without her Rhae doesn't do it lol
I think you missed the part where the shows tell you that a good leader is someone who listens. Rhae is NOT supposed to comes up with all the solutions herself, she is supposed to make poundered choices BASED OF what she takes the time to listen.

This is what separate a good ruler from a tyrant.

This is why Aegon is in a bed burned
This is why Aemond burned a city
And this is why Viserys was considered a good king.
This is why Deamond first went to build his own army but ended up bending completely the knee to Rhae

The show is ALL about the vertue of listening to others and the reality of the situation.

She can't agency one member of her war party, that says a lot
Do you feel like Luffy has no agency only because his crewmember are sometime disrespecting him ?

My thought on that moment was literally "this is a strawhat vibe". Rhae showed agency by not hanging him on the spot and being patient with him.

You do know Rhae is the one who ordered the blockade of Kings Landing causing starvation which lead to events like Hugh's daughter dying?

She is quite literally letting common people starve, only reason she sent em food was bcs it helps her standing with small folk
Do you feel like I'm saying that she is a saint ? She is still a Queen in a medieval fantastic world. This is a context where the rulers have little care about the "little people".

And yet.. there is an evolution. She still seek for as less death as possible. And in that matters it puts her largely on top of the others.

Not like that. This is not "one of the theme" its THE main thematic. At least its the biggest thematic of the two seasons I watched.

Game Of Throne was centered around the relationship of powers more than a such a specific thematic.

Rhae's story is all about what happens to a woman when she chooses to free herself from the patriarcal spectra
&
Allicent's story is all about what happens to a woman when she chooses to let herself be subjugated by this prison.

best person on green is Aegon
The guy is literally a serial rapist and child abuser...

But Okay...

Best person on black side is Jayce
Not really the biggest bright spot of the show..

you should really let the story end...

there are no good rulers in Westeros

Rhae is getting hard carried entire season 1 and season 2, she listens others bcs she herself has no fcking clue what to do lmfao

My thought on that moment was literally "this is a strawhat vibe". Rhae showed agency by not hanging him on the spot and being patient with him.
Rhae and Luffy are 2 vastly different people.

Ulf disrespected her in front of her and Rhae didn't even bother to correct him. How is Ulf supposed to follow her if he has no respect for her?

Now compare Rhae to Jayce who immediately corrected Ulf and made him humble himself

And yet.. there is an evolution. She still seek for as less death as possible. And in that matters it puts her largely on top of the others.
She quite literally ordered burning of King's Landing and Old Town too, 2 out of 5 biggest cities in Westeros lol

The guy is literally a serial rapist and child abuser...

But Okay...
Everyone has their faults in the show, but Aegon at least after taking the crown actively tries to do good and change for the better

Not really the biggest bright spot of the show..
Without Jayce, Black side hard looses

a bunch of shit that happens is because of the two of them
I mean there's no ruler have made no mistakes.
Jaeharys was the only one to actually keep peace in his time and actually did for the realm.
And for Rhaenys , Her mistake was not taking out aegon when she had the time.

Rhae is getting hard carried entire season 1 and season 2, she listens others bcs she herself has no fcking clue what to do lmfao
Its sad that you can't see when and where she makes decisive choices. Its obvious..

Rhae and Luffy are 2 vastly different people.
Of course they are.

Good.. That's called storytelling. You just made an assumption on the future of the story based on the choices of the characters.

You are SUPPOSED to make that assumption. The shows specifically hints multiple times that Rhae tends to let people disrespect her because she refuses to face conflicts.

The third season will most likely explore this situation and will most likely depict Rhae in a more authoritative way (especially since I theorize that Ulf will chicken out mid battle and put Rhae or others in front of a very problematic or potentially mortal danger.)

Now compare Rhae to Jayce who immediately corrected Ulf and made him humble himself
This is not about Jayce. Jayce is a very insecure character and the reason why he corrected Ulf didn't come from a good place but from his own insecurities and ego.

She quite literally ordered burning of King's Landing and Old Town too, 2 out of 5 biggest cities in Westeros lol
Not yet.

Aegon at least after taking the crown actively tries to do good and change for the better
Yes. Aegon do actually starts to learn a bit before letting his ego take over him and charge into battle without thinking. And I believe that Aegon do has a potential for the future. He learned what he needed to learn.

But compared to others, I can't call him a "good" character.

Without Jayce, Black side hard looses
Maybe, I will see.

That's my point

that's why people need to learn to stop talking as if Rhaenyra is a great ruler, she isn't
You need to understand that when we say "great ruler" we are saying "the least harmfull rulers that can happen in such a context".

A good ruler would be a leftist president distributing the ressources of the wealthy to the common folks and abolishing the priviledges of the ruling classes... But I don't think we will see that type of ruling anytime soon in Westeros lol

Right ?

If you are a ruler that lets people diss you, you aint a good ruler lmfao

This is not about Jayce. Jayce is a very insecure character and the reason why he corrected Ulf didn't come from a good place but from his own insecurities and ego.
ofc he is insecure, Rhae quite literally fucked his life over since birth and now gave 2 dragons to people that can contest his claim later.

But the Ulf scene was also because Jayce had enough of Ulf taking all of this so easy and not serious. If Rhae wont issue discipline he has to

She quite literally did at the dinner lol

But compared to others, I can't call him a "good" character.
No one is good character in this universe lmfao

Ruling is not about people respecting you, its about making the right descisions and allowing other people to shine because of your choices.

Again, please, stop spoiling me.

There is a nuance. She still hasn't ordered the fire to go. She said "all must be subdued". In other words, they must bend the knee. In short, she thinks using the dragons that it is the only way to break the will of the enemy to avoid thousands more deaths.

But this is not her only option as we can see at the end of the episode. Even if she brushed that off quite rapidely.

No one is good character in this universe lmfao
Of course there are. They are just all humans and all have flaws.

You absolutely need people to respect you otherwise they wont listen to your commands and decisions lol

Again, please, stop spoiling me.
This isn't spoiler, it is literally in the show and he says it himself. What show are you watching?

They didn't claim anything yet. That's why I said that. They only have Dragon's for now. mb

Yes. And Rhae doesn't create respect by hanging people. But by respecting them first.
