That wasn't a clash of attacks, Ace used a wall of flame to block it like a shield which is hardly any different from Marco blocking Kaido's named attack, except of course, Kaido > Aokiji.

Both of them are not abusing their regeneration like Marco is too.

It's an attack from Aokiji that Ace blocks, same as Kaido using Blast Breath and Marco using Immortal Thistle to block it.
How is Marco abusing regen in that instance? Where do you see him taking damage from it?
do you think Pekoms>Who's Who as well? him fighting Jinbe equally a few years before MF pretty much confirms he's not veteran level lol. Unless you think Jinbe grew from veteran level to massively above Who's Who in his 40s?
Ace was clearly supposed to be a powerful new world commander. He's no Caribou or Caesar. He's just a victim of dying before haki was fleshed out
