Yamato runs the WG gauntlet, how far does she get?

Round 1: VS Ugandan Chungus
Round 2: VS Lambergrogue
Round 3: VS Obongbong (with Raid Suit)
Round 4: VS Trifluoperazine
Round 5: VS Jewboy

I personally think she neg diffs the first four and smothers the fifth between her thighs :cr7:
Tris is a good girl she always takes out the trash. Yamato stops at r4.

I lowkey wish that Carrot will become a powerhouse too, not simply limit herself to tag along with the Strawhats. Regardless it is most likely that at least the latter will occur, but my ultimate dream is that she fundamentally finds the potency to go against a low top tier one day. I think that Sulong Dukes proved how powerful Minks can become so I want Carrot to pass them.

I will never not be upset the snowbunny theory never came true. Perfect opportunity to give a potential main character a non-broken logia that actually fits the characters design. Always a depressing thought

I think someone needs to save Usopp, Nami, and Tama from Page One and his mad sister. My bet is on Gama Pynosuke, I think he is the one who is following Jinbe and Robin before. This is an extension to my Fish, Cat, and Frog theory from Dressrosa. I have been saying this for 7-8 years, mark my words fellas we are getting a frog XD

What's your current saying about the next nakama? @Garp the Fist
Yamato? Carrot? Or none of them?
I’m waiting for Yamato’s flashback to decide for certain about her. I think Oda is definitely teasing us with her- he wants the readers to talk about her being a potential Strawhat, that’s why he had her ask Luffy in her second chapter to take her out to sea. That could still just be him playing games with us, though. I didn’t think much of the argument that she’d could be Momo’s retainer when it was first made, but now that they are interacting I have to say that is a route Oda could go.

Nothing about Carrot since Zou has ever made me think she could be a Strawhat, and every chapter that passes where the Minks are clearly just a subplot of the Kozuki plot is a another whip on the already dead horse. I don’t know how anyone can look at Yamato saying that Momo will bring the dawn and think “this means nothing for Carrot”, but I’m sure people will.

I recently noticed an interesting tweet from Joy Boy (the YouTuber): https://twitter.com/JoyBoyTheories/s...157583874?s=19

I was wondering before 995 whether Carrot would confront Big Mom as well as Peros, since she's just as responsible for Pedro's fate. When that didn't happen, I didn't think too much of it. But that tweet kind of turned the whole idea of needing to confront anyone on it's head for me.

Right now, Carrot is fighting in the name of Pedro, to take vengeance on his behalf. But that isn't what Pedro wanted. He didn't have those bombs ready simply to defeat Peros, Tamago, BM or any one enemy. He was only ever after the successful arrival of the dawn, and he wanted Carrot to understand that his survival would not necessarily make it come to be.

Pedro knew that the Straw Hats were the ones who needed to escape Tottoland. He said that Carrot would someday understand why. I think Carrot will start understanding during her fight with Peros that Pedro didn't die because of any one person, and that her revenge won't bring the dawn any closer, either.

I don't believe Oda made Carrot as present as she was, for nearly 200 chapters, to simply be a tool for revenge. I think he had her and Wanda face off with Peros here and now for a deeper reason, one intrinsically linked to the dawn Pedro sought.

What I believe Carrot will realize is this: she shouldn't be fighting to avenge Pedro. She should be fighting to help her friends the Straw Hats. That change in thinking is what will set her on the path to bringing the dawn Pedro gave his life for, possibly right alongside the Straw Hats.

The Dawn, I think we all agree, represents a new beginning, new day, a changeover from night and darkness. You don’t need an advance degree in symbolism to work that out.

Wano and Zou are associated with night, especially through the moon. The names of the Wano clans all having “moon” in them- barring the Kurozumi, which is interesting if not relevant to what I‘m saying here- Raizo’s crescent moon scar, the moon tattoo on the ankles, the Minks using Su Long in the full moon, Pedro’s Nox Pirates. We have Toki’s prophecy of “the moon not knowing the Dawn and the twenty year long night”, yadda yadda.

It’s interesting that Pedro says much the same thing about Inuarashi and Nekomamushi as he did the Strawhats on WCI. We have the dramatic double spread of their crucified bodies where Pedro says “the world awaits them! They must be saved! They must not die under any circumstances!”
But can we really say, now that we know their stories, that Inu and Neko are going to change the wider world? Is there any hint that they are anything special beyond being retainers of Oden? I don’t see it. As far as I can tell, Pedro wanted them saved for this moment in time, the fight to liberate Wano. That’s always why he blew himself up on WCI. As Carrot said last chapter, ”Pedro’s death brought us to this battle that’s happening right now.” This is the moment the world has been waiting for, defeating Kaido, avenging Oden, borders back open for Wano.

The Dawn is the end of night for Wano. Night has been the centuries of isolation that Kozuki themselves put Wano into. Oden was aware, by the end that the time was not right for him to open the borders yet, because Joy Boy wasn’t back yet. They’ve had to wait now, for Luffy. Luffy and Momo will bring the Dawn, Joy Boy and a Kozuki ending night. Dawn is the new beginning, night (isolation) is over, Joy Boy returned and ready to take on the world.

There‘s nothing that suggests the Dawn plot line is extending beyond Wano. All it’s constituent parts revolve around the overarching Wano plot- of which the Minks are a mere subplot. It’s not something that Whitebeard at his death, or Roger at any point, or Shanks or Blackbeard or any of the EoS characters have talked about. No other country or people are associated with night the way Wano and Zou is. We haven’t had the RA talking about it, or the Gorosei, or the scholars of Ohara. It is a Wano plotline, that has been talked about by the Wano characters.

The Dawn is the beginning of the end, not the end itself. Wano’s long centuries (night) of isolation will be over. Given that this arc is happening at night, that’ll probably happen literally at dawn. Joy Boy is officially back (as a reincarnation or just inherited will, who knows). As readers, we know that One Piece is then hitting its end- Luffy will be meeting Shanks again, Oda’s telling us it’s the final stretch with his five year quotes.

Sadly I’m back into another period of isolation myself after today, for a month or so, so I won’t be able to talk much more about this any time soon.

It’s very common thing that characters would to take revenge on those that are taken away from them or sacrifice themselves in order protect everyone else. In this case Pedro was not successful in taking down Perosparro. He was successful in saving rest straw hats though. I think more of idea carrot and Wanda are finishing what pedro couldn’t do. Perosparro was with pedro when he was escorting him out whole cake island after gave up life Spain. Chapter 878 there might history pedro and Perosparro. Through out whole cake island arc we did know a lot about Pedro however, what we don’t know who her previous fought before his life Spain was taken away and some members of his crew.

But you liked his comment. :myman:
Are you saying there's two dawns?

And one dawn is actually connected to the one piece and the other dawn is not?
No, dawn would mean the beginning of something(good in this case I guess). So the opening of wano borders could be the dawn itself or the first step and the actual dawn could be the end goal. Though I would like to think wano borders itself is the dawn of the End goal.

The Dawn is the end of night for Wano. Night has been the centuries of isolation that Kozuki themselves put Wano into. Agreed with everything you said up until this paragraph. The stuff in bold is just not true.

Night hasn't been centuries in Wano. We've been told exactly how long it's been. Multiple times in fact.

"The night woven of 20 years"

"It's not like usual nights...Now begins an eternal night that never breaks"

The dawn symbolism goes faaaaar further than Wano and it's been in the series since literally the very first chapter that was named Romance Dawn. The night doesn't simply mean Wano's isolation like you suggested. It's far more likely to mean enslavement and a loss of freedom (one of the biggest themes in the whole series). Wano entered its 20 year night when Oden was executed and Wano was truly lost. The rest of the world on the other hand has been in a 800 year night ever since the WG won the war against the Ancient Kingdom.

Wano was protected from the "great external power" and threat of enslavement by closing its borders, but thanks to Kaido and Orochi, it too entered a long night centuries after the rest of the world.

Dawn will come to Wano when it's liberated from Kaido and co, but dawn will only come to the entire world when it is fundamentally changed by defeating the enslaving force of the WG.

It's an idea that's been present in the story continuously. As with many things, it may be known by different names in certain countries, but they're all talking about the same thing.
Even your big blue buddy's entire race and arc was centred around the idea of the sun. From the Eve tree, the sun pirates, "path towards the sun", sun tattoos, etc. It's all associated with how their race that had been persecuted, and discriminated against are longing for the light of the sun. The light that the dawn brings in. It's very clearly all connected to one another. The straw hats, the people who are going to bring in the dawn, literally go sailing around on the Thousand Sunny... Like it can't really get much clearer than that. There's practically no chance that this plot is solely related to Wano when you consider just how relevant it is to many, many other arcs.

How does the world change by defeating Kaido? Pedro always looked ahead of defeating emperors as if there was a greater thing to be done after that.
Pedro's idea of the dawn, and the truth of the straw hats that he passed on to Carrot is something that goes further than Wano.
Why else would he be talking about stuff post Kaido, if Kaido's defeat was the dawn itself.

If Yamato has the mythical DF of Byakko then she stays on Wano as the new protector of Wano ,replacing Kaidou who is the Azure Dragon. Byakko is the guardian of the West while Azure Dragon is the one of the east.

It somewhat signifies the change that will occur in Wano after opening of the borders and the shift to the new era.
This one is interesting. I had the idea in mind of Yamato becoming Wano's guardian a few months ago ( https://worstgen.alwaysdata.net/for...s-and-the-grand-fleet.79/page-137#post-658277 ) being a white tiger replacing the azure dragon (Kaido), would add a mythological weight to it.
