Luffy won't kill people but he always kills the ambitions of the villain....and for the moment Kaido's goal is to have a "glorious death" like Whitebeard/Roger/Oden...so either he will live after his defeat or if he dies, it won't be glorious.

Rox is above Roger, and Luffy needs to do what Roger could not accomplish and destroy Imu/the government/ fulfill Joyboy's legacy and the Will of D, so he must surpass Roger, otherwise the hype isn't there.
They are above Kaido though, without the same variety of hax that he has.

I've consistently argued that Zoro will fight King. That Zoro will cut his fire and defeat him, and that Zoro will open Kaido's scar.

My expectations from Zoro have always been very high, and i was sure that he will meet them.

There were many Zoro fans who thought that it's too much for him to fight a YC1 and get involved with Kaido, and i argued the opposite.

Maybe some of you can't deal with characters other than your favorite performing well, but you should not assume that's true for everyone else
