Oda making Luffy running up was waste of Chapters

Yeah sadly, the chapter himself hyped me up but instance of this beeing chapter 1000, the whole stuff could already happen in chapter 995. With shows that Oda just waste to much time on irrelevant things, the whole running and other stuffs could easily cover in 1-2chapters. Law is the perfect example in the current chapter, he just teleport himself in one chapter, something with Luffy and co need for the last 10chapters xD.

For me it feels like we just waste all the last chapters for nothing, Law could done the job far early.
We could be here now 5chapters early with a Luffy+Supernova vs Kaido&Big mom encounter, chapter 1000 could be indeed then something special, now it kinda feel underwhelming.

Characters statements are not enough alone. You need solid evidence to state whether or not one is fighting Kaido.

Having a sensation is different from having solid evidence.

Luffy claimed he would have saved Ace but he still failed. Or that he would have defeated Magellan.

Oda didn't think this chapter was as special as some people expected. Deal with it.

Imu's chapter or the bounties chapter were miles above.

Luffy already said he is gonna be PK fifteen times. He had already faced both Big Mom and Kaido briefly. The SN spread was already depicted by fanarts years ago.

Cleary for him this was just another chapter, not a significant milestone to celebrate with some bombshell revelation.

Nah it is bro, if people can predict your chapter 1000( a huge milestone that yourself and your editors were hyping up as it being this huuuuuge thing) then it’s bad, especially something as simple as oh they reached the top after 20 chapters of stalling.

This chapter was never going to be the best chapter ever anyway. It was evident that we would have had another "I am going to be the Pirate King" moment and this third arc of Wano has already been really messy storywise.

He did, shonen jump did, jump festa did, Oda comment the last chapter did, Oda waste all last chapter to only make Luffy arrive in chapter 1000 and face Kaido did it aswell. Oda had this chapter as special case, otherwise he couldn´t waste the last 10 chapters only to make NOW Luffy facing Kaido.

The different is just, the thing that is for Oda special(Luffy facing Kaido) isn´t the same thing as for the fans who want kinda other stuff for chapter 1000.
