Powers & Abilities Is Law and the Ope Ope no Mi fair game in the WSS competition?

Everything is fair game. Zoro vs Cabaji alone should have told everyone....

Cabaji: As a fellow swordsman, it would means alot to me that I'd get to slay you.

Zoro: I won't lose to anyone to calls himself a swordsman

Cabaji *uses fire, spinning tops, a unicycle, attacks Zoro's wound, gets Buggy to help"

Zoro still fights as a swordsman and says: I'm tired of this....your swordsmanship is pathetic

If Zoro lost, then it would have meant Zoro got slain by the swordsman Cabaji and that he wasnt strong enough to overcome the odds. Cabaji barely used his sword itself yet was still a swordsman.

What? That’s not even remotely the same lol
it's oda commentaire :risicheck:
he got teached swordmanship by diamante

Law is a swordsman. Anybody who lectures Tashigi about swordsmanship and can control a cursed sword has to be a swordsman
:saden:

Oda statement in the fanart :
Oda called Law, Zoro, Brook and Kin'emon all swordsmen in the Usopp Gallery.

There’s actual more solid proof of saying that Zoro can fight as well without a sword than Law, he’s at least got Mutoryu and when he used Killer’s scythe.

Would it be a good argument to say that? Of course not, it would be an awful one. What matters is that Zoro does use a sword, not that he can go without- and we actually know he can go without, it’s not just empty speculation like it is with Law.

No idea why someone would try to convolute something clear.

The guy that created Law thinks of him as a swordsman. Legit, after this nothing else is needed.

4人の剣士は敵なし!ブルック?- The four swordsmen are invincible! Brook!?

But let's go a step further.

Law is in possession of a cursed sword
Law is the guy that lectures a swordsman like Tashigi on what it means to be a swordsman and swordsman spirit.

Law's fighting style completely revolves around the use of sword.

Law is a swordsman.

Loonkig at the volumes intros. Fujtora is called a "blind swordsman" while Law is simply called "ope ope fruit user"

Yeah, and Zoro is just called “fighter.” And Brook’s combat skills aren’t even mentioned.

That proves that Fujitora is a swordsman (if the fact that he’s literally One Piece Zatoichi wasn’t enough to give the game away), but not that Law or anyone else isn’t.

Basic slicing attack, only shown to be done with a sword.
Radio Knife, shown to be done with a sword
Injection Shot, shown to be done with a sword
Sterbern, shown to be done with a sword
Scan, needs to be done with a sword
None of these abilities need a sword, he just channels his powers through it. Like Fujitora draws his sword to pull meteors, lift rubble and increase gravity. He could do the same with a scalpel or a knife indeed. Even with his finger. But of course, a sword is a better weapon of choice in battle. Still, his ability is solely DF.

Yeah, and Zoro could do all his attacks without his sword, as this

and this

shows.

And that’s actual proof, not just speculation.

And yet, Zoro is still a swordsman. And so is Law. Because it’s what they actually use in a fight that’s important, not what they hypothetically could.

Difference is, that his attacks are at their best when performed with swords. And a scythe comes close to the properties of a sword too. It's a similar blade, just with another grip. And his no-sword style just mimics his swordsmanship.

Law's DF abilities however receive no nerf, no matter whether Law uses it with his sword, a knife or even his finger. The reason he uses a sword is simple: Because it's the best weapon of choice; better than his knife, better than his finger. Because it is a better device not only for battle but also for stalling (and outside of his room or Ope abilities, stalling is basically all Law does with his sword).

Give Law a Seppuku knife, and he still bisects Vergo and busts a mountain. And he will still change your personality, remove your heart and destroy your organs with Gamma Knife.

Give Zoro 3 Seppuku knives instead of his swords, how vastly will his power level be reduced?

If people don't get this difference, it can't be helped.

another fellow swordsman nik

Different story. Diamante uses a DF and a gun, but this is just versatility. Diamantes swordsmanship is one of his strongest if not the strongest asset. Entirely different with Law or Kizaru.

Nope it s the same shit as law stop trolling
law is a swordsman just like fuji cabaji shanks kaku diamante etc

So people ignore the fact that Law could bust mountains, remove hearts, change personalities and rip apart Kaido's organs using a finger instead of a sword, since his Ope fruit is nothing but spatial hax and think Zoro using a scythe that is similar to a sword is a good example. Or Cabaji, whose main asset and power is swordsmanship.

It's pointless mate... Not sure which character you are trying to protect with this...
Imo it doesn't make sense for Zoro losing the WSS to Law if Law bisects Zoro with his finger, removes his heart or rips his organs apart, just because Law happens to be a very medicore swordsman who struggles to stall Doffy's clone outside of his room.
