Could barely tell what was going on and as an anime only I wouldn't even understand what happened at the end. The soundtrack at the end also wasn't fitting at all.

Even when I didn't read One PIece for a long time I never forgot the characters, even some random side characters are extremly memorable. It got kinda worse recently though (the Samurai in Wano aren't memorable at at all, forgot everything about them) but pretty much all the characters...
