No

just some bullshit and then leaves

just like all other arcs with admirals
Past arcs didn't have a Yonko level MC and a plotline that specifically ties in the Admiral in question. Both ingredients can suggest this is his main arc.

Plus, every other time the Admirals were featured, they were introduced those arcs and characterized, not returning to play relevant roles in a second arc. LRLL introduced Aokiji. Sabaody introduced Kizaru. Marineford introduced Akainu. Dressrosa introduced Fujitora. Wano introduced Ryokugyuu. None of them explicitly featured them as main antagonists save for Marineford, and thats basically the exception considering the event that happened there.

Kizaru being featured marks the 2nd time he's actually featured in an arc with relevant presence, which no other admiral has gotten yet. There's no point in just having him display his power/personality anymore as a feature.

@ShishioIsBack heard you mention this earlier, but I'm really starting to think Kizaru may run into Zoro first near the shore. Since this arc is basically Sabody 2.0, and Zoro was completely powerless against Kizaru and seconds any from getting killed. This time Zoro can fight back.

Zoro holds off Kizaru while the Lucci situation escalates, and Sentomaru/Tashigi/VA Doll will contact Kizaru and inform him of CP0 attacking Marines. Akainu learns in turn and it creates a big riff within the WG.
I mean that sounds pretty cool but I won't have my hopes up lol

Why is this arc sabaody tho?

Probably not, Yonkos were meant to be replaced by new ones due to MC being a pirate. Admirals already got their replacements. If the WG/Navy are to be the final or the one before that enemy then it wouldn't make sense to reduce their strength by 1/4. And it would fuck up the power scaling to an enormous level so I don't want it to happen.

I don’t think this would be that big of a deal

all WG needs to do is say Vegapunk and sentimaru were conspiring with pirates, which is technically true.

If anything will cause a rift in the marines, it would be Cipher pol going after Garp or Koby.

Even if Kizaru doesn't get defeated, I still think he will be the real main villain of the arc.

It might be similar to the WCI arc, where just like in WCI Big Mom was the main villain but she wasn't defeated.

So the same thing could happen during the Egghead arc with Kizaru.

As for Rob Lucci he was already the main villain of both Water 7 and Enies Lobby and he was already defeated, having him be the main villain again and also getting defeated by Luffy for the second time would feel a bit repetitive.

There’s a decent shot of it.

He’d be a really good fight for Luffy, give him a chance to 1 vs 1 a genuine top tier without help. This is his best chance for some plot related stuff given he has some connection with the characters here.

He would also get more focus here than he would if he’s just held over to the final war, where he’ll have to fight with two other Admirals for screen time, let alone every other character in the series.

Also a possibility that if this arc moves directly to Elbaf, as seems likely, Kizaru gets pushed on over to there as a main villain for that arc. Like, he arrives too late, Strawhats have escaped with Vegapunk and the World Gov order him to bring him back, dead or alive, no matter the cost.

Zoro might hold him off for a bit but I wouldn’t put money on it being a true fight.

My dear fellas, let's stop beating around the bush and ask the real question. :myman:

Is the first Admiral about to fall?

Is Kizaru going to get defeated in Egghead Island or not? And when I say defeated I mean he gets KOed like the standard main enemy of the arc. If there's just a small clash and then he just leaves/retreates on his own that's not a defeat in the strict sense.

Vote!
as always Kizaru appears saves cp0 then someone (Kuma) will appear and everyone will be teleported away and thats it the same plot ever

godly opponent appears some saviour saves them just some teasing gear 5 and so and Kuma will save them
