Reddit is now a publicly traded company like Twitter. Most of their revenue comes advertisers and institutional investors. Advertisers don't like their ads being shown in places with adult content(nudity, fights, gore etc), and institutions investors don't like certain types of rhetoric. And this is just one of them. There is endless videos of kids and parents taking these books to their school board their kids found in the library. It's the left that is fighting to keep these books there against the parents wishes.
