Trump threatens the legal status of legal immigrants every single day. We've had multiple horror stories of people being kidnapped and held for days on end when they've been in this country legally for decades. Even though unlikely, I'm still scared because my parents weren't born in this country and I became a citizen after turning 18. Just the idea of being kicked out of a country where I have lived since I was a child is enough to send chills down my spine.

It’s amazing how many people are willing to defend something that will make their lives immeasurably more difficult because they’ve been conned by one of the sleaziest motherfuckers who’s ever lived, I can imagine this won’t phase most of the Midwest until they watch their farms and hospitals systematically close down

Democrats might think this is good for the midterms, which it might very well be. But don’t forget we’re destroying countless lives and a big chunk of the social safety net in the process. People will die, and lives will be ruined. We need a Democratic Party that actively pushes back against this nonsense, not one who waits for republicans to destroy everything so they can get back in power.
I love constantly getting texts that say shit like “We have to STOP the right from destroying every single institution; donate $20 right now to show YOU care about democracy” Maybe I would give to the cause if you did a single God damn thing to push back on these conservative cocksuckers??
