did you actually read the article, or are you just randomly posting graphs?
the poor did not get poorer..
there is wealth inequality, but is not as simple as "poor gets poorer" or "rich gets richer"
edit: also you do realize since the 70s there has been more republican terms? lmao
Why would I care if there were more republican if I believe that they are the same? This is my point.
Also, let me break down what you quoted:
Higher income - increased 78%
Medium income - Increased 60 %
Lower income - Increased 55 %
So, we can agree, that the poorer income grew way less than the higher class. EDIT: in the middle range, but now I will show you why it's fake growth anyway.
Now, to break down for inflation using
https://www.bls.gov/data/inflation_calculator.htm
66,400 in 1970 has buying power of 564,689.84, compared to an income today of 106,100
144,100 in 1970 has buying power of 1,225,479.01, compared to an income today of 256,900
22800 in 1970 has buying power of 193,899.52 , compared to an income today of 35,300
As the number clearly show, sometimes looking at "income goes up" is not enough. Inflation destroyed the middle class and it's worse the poorer you get, because each year your money value less.
I cannot explain this any easier.
They might increase the salary but inflation outpaced that ages ago.
EDIT: Guess who is not affected by this? The people who control the inflation the market and the corporations. Lobbyist, that have in their pocket the entire US parliament or senate. And guess what, republican or democrat, the biggest index is that market has to go up. And the common man pays.
