About the deportation thing. I think that is just for the people who crossed without using the legal channels. And specifically those who committed crimes while here. I said about because I haven't looked at what source you have but I know what certain members of the party have said.

Like I have said before, Americans, pretty much all of us, love immigration, but we want them to be vetted. Not 100% how true it is, but I heard we are the only place that considers people just Americans, when they become legal citizens. I don't know if any other country does it.

This is a complicated subject because I can see both sides. For those who came here with desperation and an honest desire for the American dream. It sucks. Especially for those fleeing dangerous places.

On the other side. There are people waiting in backlog to do things the right/legal way and it's not fair to them. Also, even for one person who is hurt or loses a loved one to someone dangerous who crossed, it's a major deal for that person/family.

Neither party has a perfect design here. We can't just be open and there are people who need our help.

I don't have the answer here, but I also want to know who is coming in. We don't need anyone else's bad guys when we have plenty of homegrown ones.

Scientists still don't really understand shit about the "universe and life." No one does, so far, this is pretty much anyone's game, including religions. As long as you don't lose your grasp of reality, it's not that bad... It can be positive, in fact.

But yeah, this simulation stuff is really a meaningless what-if scenario that doesn't really change anyone's life. The only thing I remember trying to back it up were some outdated experiments involving atoms, which I really don't think "normal people" could have enough background to even agree or disagree with. Other than that, Elon Musk only touched on the subject because it seems like a "cool", revolutionary (it's really not), and technological idea, and that's how he likes to present himself.

Yes, but life isn't fair. Rejecting people that are risking their life on the basis that "life must be fair", isn't really logical or human. Even in regards to those are trying to enter legally.

I remember trying the process to have the Green Card, it didn't work out but even if I tried hard, the fact that people are simply arriving on the territory in order to survive didn't give me the impression that I was being cheated on.

Accepting those people is not a debate, its just the human thing to do. In the US or in Europe. Same thing.

I remember a study showing that you won't find more insecurity among migrants than in the regular population. In fact the more a person is integrated in society the most likely they will be to commit crimes.

And its logical. Why would a person who risked their life to enter the country, would risk everything for a pity crime ?

There are things that scientist don't understand, but they do understand a lot mates, lets not do bad relativism here.

And EVEN when they don't know everything, they are still the closest to the answers. Which was the point here.

Scientists understand how things work better than anyone else, for sure. After all, the scientific method is about things that can be observed and replicated. However, there is a clear limit to where it goes. It's not relativism. I will word it better for you
Science, despite all it can do, cannot really offer the kind of answers people seek when they are looking for God or a simulation theory. When it comes to the subject of "understanding the universe and life," modern science can at best offer meek "hows," but never "whys." Why the universe exists, why humans exist. Regarding medicine and the economy, you're right, but those are different areas of knowledge with a much smaller scope.

Yes, but here, we were talking about understanding how the world work, not seeking an answer about the why question (although I have answers for you if you want some)

The question "why?", is the quest for meaning, not the quest for understanding. (and funnily enough, it works with social behaviors too)

If for example to a criminal, we asked more the question "how?", than the question "why ?". We would be in an age of reason by now.

You’ve got somewhat of a point. However, esoteric concepts such as “gods” are simply created from a human POV. They’re completely foreign to provable and measurable phenomena. Therefore science simply seeks to take human bias out of the equation, cause gods simply are a more fantastical, and honestly, made up way to explain reality with no basis to stand on.

I might be dumb but isn't the why more important especially with a criminal, especially in murder. Usually the how is easy to find out. Or do you mean, like how did a person become able to kill someone. I still think why is more important because for some reason motive is very important in murder cases.

I also think that is already done. Defense lawyers usually need to answer the how (if you meant how they came to commit the crime, most important in the sentencing phase.) while Prosecution needs the why and evidence to prove they committed it.

I want to make a fun analogy: In the case of crimes :

- "Why?" is observation Haki
- "How?" is future sight x1000000

"Why?" only give us the answer to the surface. For example, it would explain the reason why the guy decided to shot Trump with an assault rifle, it might make us understand that the guy was under depression or highly radicalized.

"How?" on the other hand would make us understand the construction behind his reasonning but more, it would make us understand the sociology of someone who can commit such an act and extend the reasonning to other potential shooters but more, its might make us understand also the construction and the reasons behind the radicalization of people in society but more, it might make us understand how the failure and the problems with politics in the country or more, in the world.

Understanding "how", is taking distance from the subject and replacing it in context. It allows us to extend the windows of understanding dramatically.

For me, searching for meaning is meaningless. I'm the one who put meaning into my life, not the opposite.

This is why, instead of searching for meaning, I consider the research of understanding much more pertinent. Knowing that a so called god has a plan for me would not bring me meaning, it would only explain to me why I've would have been put in this universe. What is more interesting on the other hand, would be to understand how the universe and the potential powers of a god work.

Because none is superior to none in Existence, not even "god".

I was born from Love. That's all I need to know.

I don't like the word religious, because I don't practice an organized religion, but I am a believer who does believe God is a higher power. That we will not agree on.

People often ask these questions and even done studies on brains. They have found serial killer brains work differently than a typical brain. They have found what they found in serial killer brains, in the standard population, who aren't criminals, which led them back to discussions of nurture vs nature. I'm obsessed with the subject of why do people do what they do, including every day not criminal people as well, but I don't believe there will ever be a solid conclusion.
