Are people really attributing this to a boots durability?

I remember a lot of years ago that one of possible Sanji's power up was having more durable shoes. I remember some people thinking it was not Sanji's leg strenght but it was all thanks to his shoes which were more durable than the normal. Unbelievable.
Whether Kizaru's laser pierces Sanji or not, he is seen doing fine afterwards.
Usually the "explanation" would be : low damage from the attacker, or high defense from the defender.
But since this is Worstgen, the first option is the perceived answer. Hence why it looks like we get a surge of Admiral hater/downplayer, when they're just the usual Sanji haters.

It appears that Kizaru's laser pierced the part of Sanji's body that wasn't protected, just as it pierced Kuma. However Sanji, who has average armament, blocking one of the lasers casually with his leg, goes to show that blocking it isn't all too difficult.
Kaido, in addition to being able to tank a laser with his body, may as well easily block it akin to this:
That's probably the reason Kizaru went into CqC with Rayleigh using his light sword, knowing that spamming lasers will be useless, as Rayleigh could simply block and dispel them. Reacting to those lasers won't be all too difficult either; Marco intercepted a Yasakani no Magatama from mid range that aimed at Whitebeard.

In the air is where Kizaru takes advantage to strike his opponents, as happened with Sentomaru and now with Kuma, Sanji, Franky, and Atlas since none of them can fly. On the other hand, Kaido can fly so fast in his dragon form that he could blitz Snakeman.

Well remembered, Kaku grabbed a laser at the beginning of the arc and treated it as nothing after that. @comrade

Kaido: One shots Luffy with a one handed blow in base and without the usage of ACoC.
Kizaru: Spamming clones with light blades gives G5 Luffy a little cut on his cheek.
Kaido: Shooting wind scythes in Dragon form makes G5 Luffy coughing a pile of blood.
Kizaru: Cannot dodge the White Star Gun as a lightspeed man.
Kaido: Dodges the same kind of attack and immediately counter attacks.

Kaido: Not down from hundreds of blows
